I answered and the person did not say who they were but asked for me and I said the person you are requsting is not here may I take a message they only gave me a number, I then asked who they were and what business do they needed with the person at qustion. The lady said I will with the person I need to speak with.

This numbers came from some folks working under debtcolection as I guesss.
However, I don't like to pick up the phone and set it to my black list. And, I may be to bring it before Laws.

My daughter made the mistake of answering this call then handing phone off to me. Very rude, obnoxious. Calling about an alleged debt from 1998. I don't owe anything and quickly let her know this and also informed her it would be past time limitations anyway. She got very rude. I cut her off and iformed her any further communication should take place in writing, no phone calls at all. They will be receiviing a letter from my lawyer.

This guy called on my what I thought was private cell number and asked for me by my full legal name.  So I knew right away this guy was a bill collector.  He ask if I was (My Full Legal Name) I said no!  He asked if I knew this person, I said no, he hung up very rude.   These guys are butt heads and should get a real job!

I Had a young lady call and ask that I hold while she pull my file . Asked for me by name . Verified my social and still could not locate my file . I called this company back . Yes the are bill collectors . This was for a very old 1999 debt that I obtained  with an ex husband.It's now 2010. The gentleman who answered the phone began to tell me that the I. R. S reported this debt and they were going to garnish my wages. I'm in Texas a non garnishment state. I work third party subrogation for insurance companies and am often reffered to as "a Bill Collector" . However there are ethical ,professional ,truethful and not to metion lawful ways to collect on debts etc. If these or any other collectiom agencies attempt to contact you for a valid or invalid debt there are laws to protect you.To educate yourself there is a fair debt collection practices act you should familiarize yourself with (google it ) I stopped this predator (for lack of a better term) in his tracks because I know the laws . HE HUNG UP ON ME !

How on earth do all these places get my uNLISTED,private cell phone number? Some leave messages-saying,Congratulations Bob Jones,we went over your application and we've accepted you.Please call xxx-xxx-xxxx ext 132
This is a waste of my cell time,my time and my nerves. Dude-stop ringing me! I'm sick of people calling my house and all of our cell phones. We pay monthly to be unlisted,yet somehow in cyberspace it's floating around for morons to waste my time & money. Get a new hobby!

keep getting calls from this number, never leave any message.

I received a call from this number and the caller (female) asked for me by name and then goes on to say quote, "That I was not aware of and that I need to speak with the processing department"; I asked the caller for her name and the company she was representing she said quote, "She did not have that information" and asked me to hold to speak with the processer...Please be aware this lady was attempting to sound frantic but is for sure a scam

I just got a call from this number they wanted to speak to my husband but he was unavailable they said it was regarding an old credit card that he stopped sending the payments. My husband was a victim of id theft when i mentioned taht the caller got mad! He started shouting at me saying that that was crap, that it was a lie, that my husband just stopped sending the payment when i requested that he send the paperwork he had he said we lost out chance and hung up on me! Very rude!!!

These are bill collectors who buy accounts that have been long-since charged off and then try to collect.  They tried to hassle me once for CC accounts that haven't even shown up on my credit report for years.  They will use whatever scare tactic they can to get you to pay them.  Don't fall for it -- the Statute of Limitations has passed for these accounts.  They have gotten crafty lately by using caller ID numbers within the debtor's area code to make it more likely for the debtor to answer the phone.  Here is more regarding the Statute of Limitations regarding CC debt.  It varies by state, but is generally between 4 and 8 years.

just got a call from them, a recorded voice saying, 'if you are ( my name ) push 1. I hung up and called back, got this guy asked who he was. He said'mr. goop, who is this? I said 'why are you calling me?' he said'why are you calling me?' and I said ' cause you called me, fool' and he got all crazy I hung up- these people buy old old debts that they hope we don't know are beyond the statute of limitations.

Keep getting a call from this number asking for my husbands ex-wife.
We have been married for over 20 years.
Can't seem to get them to stop making calls.

Go to the web site www.ftc.gov and file a complaint about them. If enough people do this, they will investigate.

My husband keeps getting this same number too, I called bk to see who it was,,they just tell me they do different businesses and that they are there to 'help' him. still wont tell what it is about, I have googled this  stuff for 2 days now, and keep reading the same info on them.. They are a SCAM and If the dont stop calling they will be reported. I also found a site where you need to report to the federal trade commission if you receive a call from this number,or the 866-582-5621 the tell you to call back.

Just returned a call I had received earlier in the day from this #.  After they asked if this was --- and I verified they started shouting out code stuff and form violations stuff I would have no idea what it was but they tried to make it sound scary...when I asked who they were they won't respond (not surprising) but when they asked me to verify my social...ha...no can do I will never give out that information on the phone no matter who you say you are.  When I refused they shouted that they were going to turn my information into the IRS...I'm sure they will call back tomorrow thinking I'm shaking in my boots but I have nothing to hide...have done nothing wrong...and turned them into the FTC like the above person requested...if they continue to call I will continue to report them.

Someone claiming to be Ms. Kitchen called my cell phone from this number 310-424-5690 and asked to speak with my wife.  When I asked for specifics about the nature of the call, the so called Ms. Kitchens would not identify who she was representing or what the call was about, only that it pertained to a possible legal matter. She said my wife would have to give them permission to speak with me about it.  Yet when I asked Ms. Kitchens why she called me if no permission was given for her to do so she stated I was a contact on some case ID.  She insisted I tell my wife to call her about the case ID and she began spitting out some numbers and reiterated it was a legal matter.  I persisted and said I would be happy to relay a message but she would have to tell me who she is with and what the call was about.  Ms. Kitchens was evasive, attempted to redirect and confuse me, and made certain nothing was clear except the aforementioned.  She then became combative, argumentative, and abusive, when I persisted with my questioning to know more than she was telling me.  She said she will not go around and around with me about "it" (whatever "it" was) and that my wife has two hours to contact her or something (couldn't make out what she said).  I told her never call me again and then she hung up.  This person was more than rude, she was threatening, kept dodging my questions about who she was with or the nature of the call, and was increasingly threatening in tone, demeanor, verbal abuse, and legal action she said she had the power to take if my wife failed to call her.  The overall tone of this call would have made me feel threatened and violated if I was naive enough to fall for the abusive tactics being used.  I'm not certain, but this type of call should be illegal; maybe it is?  Times must be desperate if the people making these calls can actually sleep at night.  I don't know how anyone can feel good about their job or themselves for making these immoral, unconscionable, acts of abusive phone calling?  These people obviously have "zero" power to "do" anything or they would be forthcoming and behave with integrity.  Don't fall for these types of calls or get sucked into their little drama party...their intent is to upset you to the point of cooperations and giving in to their demands.  Don;t fall for it...you have all the power, not them.

i just got a call from this number left me a automation message but i knew better to google it to find out if it was one of those numbers and of course for the looks of this web page it is so i am going to save it in my contacts under IGNORE as caller id  with the rest of the numbers that keep calling my personal cell phone number asking for JOSE, JUAN, JOHN,SCOTT,MARY, PANCHO,BRIAN,OR ANY COMMON NAME,  and just dont answer it as the caller id ignore comes out and i got about 5 ignore lists already, not going to waste any free minutes on them ......good day
