Stole my money

Person called my mom who's is elderly and only speaks Spanish. Told her that she was her niece from MX. She called back the next day and chatted more with my mom. Several days later she called again and said she was coming to US to visit and bring her some gifts. Called again several days later and said she was at the airport held up by an officer because they thought she was trafficking. She said a "sweet" lady was going to helper get out of the situation and she was a lawyer! Wow... Imagine that! She said she needed to talk to my mom so she could get her info. Other lady got on the phone and started asking my mom personal questions. My mom realize then it was a scam and started giving her fake info. The lady realize and hung up. Never called back. Later we heard my aunt had same scam and the lady was asking for money for this "lawyer" to help her out. Be cautious.

This is a scam! The girl tries to make you think she is your relative and needs money for customs in Mexico. With me she used the name Norma.

Don't listen to them it's a scam and also they want your money don't answer!

this fast talking chick claimed to be my niece, spoke spanish so I knew she wasn't kept acting like she was, wouldn't give her name other than Mari.  I hung up and she called back.  let anwerining machine answer and she didn't leave a message, she called back 3 times.

This girl called my mother (who only speaks Spanish) told my mother that she was flying in tomorrow, to visit her and to pick her up at the airport. I believe she will call back tomorrow, so we're ready...thank you, all of you who have posted. This is truly a scam and we need to reported so others can be aware and careful!!!

She also called my house and when I told her that my mom was not home she hanged up. We had some one called a year ago from Chicago. Stated that they were cousins and needed money. When I asked more info about them they hung up.

She claims to be my cousin and even had so much information, some that we hadn't even put out in the internet or anything else. Private things, things we only talk about at home. They will probably call tomorrow and I now have info, thank you guys! :)
