I just got a call from this number too. Did not pick it up since I didn't recognize the number and they left no message. I called it back and got a busy signal.

I didn't answer it either since I don't know anyone in California that would call me.... if they wanted me, they could call my cell phone. It said City of Santa M.... so I assumed it was City of Santa Monica but not sure

Heard a recording indicating I should press one for information on credit card debt consolidation.  Person on other end offered to consolidate my cards a lower rate, but am suspicisous that this is a scam.

Received this automated call at 8:30 a.m. Curious about how they received my CELL PHONE number, I pressed "1" and a man answered with a simple "hello," not identifying a particular company. I asked, "Who is this?" and he answered, "Do you want to lower your interest rate on your Chase Manhattan Citi credit card?" (FYI - Chase Manhattan is no longer in existence, it's simply Chase, and Citi is a separate financial institution.). I asked him who he was, what financial institution he represented and why he was calling me on my cell phone. He promptly hung up. This is definitely a scam.

Missed call on my cell from this number, no message, so I looked it up here. I am blocking it on my cell.

Prerecorded voice, "Heather from account services" saying please call us back to lower your credit card interest rate. Spam. Blocked.

Same as above. Prerecorded message w/ a lady named Heather.

I stupidly answered thinking it was a response from an application. It turns out it is a phone bank from "your credit card company." They wouldn't provide any other information. I don't have a credit card.

Prerecorded scammy phone call asking about credit card consolidation services from an unnamed company. ("Your bank!" or something.) Pressed 2 to make them go away... Don't know how they got my cell number.

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone and the only ID was Santa Monica. I didn't pick up. If it is a credit card debt consolidation place as some reported, they are doing no research at all about who they call I don't fit their mold.

I answered it to find out who continues to call.   A recorded message says it's to lower my credit card interest.   I pressed 1 and got a person on the line.   Told her I don't have a credit card and to remove my number.   She very quickly said okay maam have a good day and disconnected.    I believe it is a credit card scam.

Got a call from this # on my cell phone and answered it only because it said Santa Monica, CA and my Mother is in a nursing home out there.  Scared the daylights out of me -- who calls my cell phone except family members or as an emergency contact?  The caller immediately launched into a canned speech about my credit card debt.  I replied that I have none and asked where they got any information that I had debt.  They hung up immediately.
