In Toronto. Refused to pick up the phone because of repeat calls from this number, but the caller left a pre-recorded message: "Hi, it's Anna from The Moving Company..."

Got a phone call from the CA # a few days ago, and again today. Googled it to see who it was. Nobody answered on the other line. Just ambient noise. Somebody must be bored or stupid.

hey... i posted awhile back n said i got a call from this California number...well i got it again, but this time someone actually spoke to me, they said they were calling to offer special traveling rates or some s**t like that..right away i was like no thanks. so yeh to all who been wonderin wat the hell this number was, im pretty sure its just some travel agency in CA tryin to con u into takin a trip that THEY say is cheap..lol   Oh and ever since i answerd n talk to'em, n told them no thanks, i havent recieved a call since...

So I just recieved a call from that 310 # and decided to look up the area code and it was from Santa Monica, CA. I live in Mississauga, Ontario Canada...I am in the 905 area. So a message was sent....and it was "Hi, this is Anna from the moving company..." She left off with her phone number which was a 416 area code (Toronto). Weird, because I get her message ALL THE TIME except never from that 310 # before. Sometimes the number that comes up with her message is 4086, or some sort of 4 digit thing like that. Weird...kinda funny I found this web site, and that you guys recieved the call too.

Yep these low lifes call me all the time several times a week, my take is somewhere from within Africa, using the internet and voip they have managed to hack into a phone service and they use autodialers.

I have recieved two calls from #310 in Santa Monica!!
Called those back but no response!

Got a call from this number today I am in Concord ,Ontario

I've just received a call from the same number.I picked up the phone, but there was no answer.I have 416 area code.

Called me from a CA number... I am in central Ontario... Canada. Not even close to 415 or 416. They call all the time.

All we get is a few seconds of silence, then they hang up. A callback results in the "Number is not in service" message. This is typical for phones configured by the carrier for outgoing calls only. Those lines are cheaper than ones that allow both incoming and outgoing calls.
310-455-8061 has Verizon listed as the carrier. I entered a complaint on the Verizon website and received a form mail response indicating I could complain to the California courts about it but they had to call more than 5 times. I believe I'm at 3.
I do hope that someone in California will lodge a legal complaint against 310-455-8061, as the carrier (Verizon) seems uninterested in pursuing the matter. Perhaps it is a call centre of some sort that pays a large monthly fee to Verizon? I don't know.

I just received a call from 1-310-455-8061, & since I didn't recognize it, I let the machine take it.  Nothing was said, but they just left the machine record silence for while.  Most people just hang up or say something!  It's annoying!  (I'm in Barrie,ON)

I've been getting calls from this number off and on for a few months now. Also calls from the Yukon and Michigan. Weird. At least I know I'm not alone. I'm usually not home or just don't bother answering, no message of course. Oddly enough, I wonder why other who do get a response seem to get different companies ie "Anna's Moving Company' etc, among other mentioned in previous posts. I've been getting weird calls from different area codes anyway, almost like an epidemic. Be careful!!!! Usually 'out of area', 'blocked call', 'long distance', 'unknown name and number'. I figure if it's anything important they'll leave me a message or at least have the name of their company pop up on the caller id. I have better things to do with my time. Good to read everyone's elses comments. Glad I googled! I will be checking other numbers from now on. I'm 705 and in the Barrie, Ontario, Canada area.

They most be doing a sweep on the 705 area. Got a call on Sept. 16 at 2:53. Didn't leave a msg.

every night at around the same time me and my father always get phone calls from this number. we have never answered and they have never left any messages. we have tried to call back and we get either the busy signal or they say it has been disconnected. i find this weird.

Hey... recorded call asking for name & alternate number...I left Adolph Hitler together with the local police number here in Southern Ontario.
They haven't called lookin' for old Adolph yet.

I searched where this number is coming from, it said it was a call from TOPANGA, CA

I received a call from this number today at 12:25PM and thought it was odd that someone from California was calling me. There was no reply when I answered HELLO three times. I called the number back and kept getting a busy signal. I decided to Google the number and came up with this site. I HATE TELEMARKETERS! By the way, I am in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
