California on call display, 13104558061 number showed - if you stay on the line long enough, there is some message that i only heard part of but it was a number in the Ottawa area - i wont take it anymore will hunt them down

Just had a call from this number with a recorded message about fabulous properties for sale in Collingwood, Ontario.

Have been receiving calls from this 310 number for months.  They call 2 - 3 days a week and up to 7 times a day - even in the middle of the night!  Tried call blocking but it still gets through.  Very annoying.  If anyone knows of the address of this place please post it and I will bill them for time wasted.  This is our business phone.  We are on Bell phone service in Orillia, Ontario.

I receive calls from this number at least 2-3x a day and every couple of days...last nite they called at 11:00 p.m. and today 3 times. I answer, they say nothing, but you hear a muffled sound in the background. At times I have not answered and they leave no message. It seems I say hello 3 or 4 times, and they hang up. If it is a marketing company then you would think that they would say something. This is very annoying. I live in Hamilton. I called bell and since this is considered a nuisance call, they will change my phone number free of charge - that's how annoying these calls are getting.. Sadly there isn't anything Bell or any other phone company can do, short of charging us $5.00 a month for Call Screen (no way!), or changing our number. What a price to pay to have to change one's number to not get a nuisance call - it's time someone did something about this..namely our phone providers. We pay them enough!

Anyone notice that every post here has the same tone and language?  It feels like every comment was crafted by the same person trying to create the illusion of many posters making the same point.

I too live too live in Ontario (Brantford) and I have been getting hangups from 310-455-8061 but now I'm more weirded out by this site than I am from the phone calls.

The calls are not so much a mystery, just an automated system collecting data on the time of day you answer your phone.  That information is sold to other marketers who use the data to schedule their calls.  The question is, who is the company committing this privacy crime and who are the companies that are using the data to improve their call center efficiencies.  That makes every tele-marketer that calls your home a suspect!  Is it Bell?  Is it Rogers?  Is it all of them?

had too many calls from this number in the last month--at least 4 or more a week.  we work all day and therefore no one at home to answer and they leave no message.  getting really tired of it!! we also live in the collingwood area of ontario and this is a number from the states.

November 17, 2007 the phone number 310-455-6048 is confirmed as
"HouseCapades".  they have a website.

I think there's a connection with call centre and companies.

Please keep posting so we can get to the bottom of this.

I'm getting the calls too.
From reading all of the posts here, the same thing is happening with this phone number (310-455-6048) and also (310-455-8061).
These phone numbers are used but they Change the Voice recordings so we won't catch on.
At 310-455-8061 and 310-455-8061 posts are reported that they get calls from:
Anna, from The Moving Company, Sarah about reducing credit card debt,
HouseCapades, and Collingwood Resorts.
Please read posts at the other 800notes phone number of 310-455-6048 for contact information.

Several phone providers now offer selective call blocking.  Check with your phone service provider - you could end these annoying calls forever!

Repeated calls from this number.  Never a message left.

We are getting calls from 310-455-8061, on my caller ID display it show California, getting very annoyed. I Live in Hamilton, Ontario with a 905 area code. I wish Bell would do something about this number, calls all hours of the day. The last call was Nov, 25th, 2007 @ 5:00PM. Have gotten over 40 calls now from this number over a 6 month period.

No answer, no message, nothing.....I'm annoyed as hell...

Same garbage here.
Call every day. Caller ID says 'California' and there is just dead space when we answer.
Maybe this is designed to drum up the meagre fee to unlist one's number.
I'm ready to pay it!
