- Tamianth replies to jon| 2 repliesConsider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

E-mail: econsumerwb@ftc.gov - KThese idiots called me twice within a couple of hours. Was not home, and they did not leave a message. (Criminals do do leave messages.) What will they say--"We're attempting to rip you off"??? You know this is attempt to get you to answer your phone by showing a Caller ID of "Beverly Hills", as if we should be impressed. Same scammers spoofing a different number! Blocked!!
- Caller: SAME SCAMMER GAME WITH DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER
- KMy apology. Typo error. Criminals DO NOT leave messages.
- Caller: SAME SCAMMER GAME WITH DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER

- Caller: CID says BEVERLY HILLS
- MaryCalled my landline. I actually answered this one because I thought it was a TV show I had requested tickets for since it was coming from Beverly Hills, I thought it was the show calling. They hung up on me and then I googled the number and this is what I found.
- Caller: Beverly Hills
- Mary replies to Tamianth| 1 replyThis is good information. I have my landline blocked on the DNC and the FCC but I still get calls. Blocking my landline didn't do any good for all the I've gotten.
- Tamianth replies to MaryThe DNC isn't a call blocker.. it can't protect you from all the illegal callers or foreign country's scammers. I think this is one of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to the DNC. That and the fact that charity, political and some survey's are exempt from it - not completely, they must remove you from their call list when asked and they can be fined. Also Debt Collectors do not fall under the DNC either, they fall under the FDCPA laws.
- YvSo dang tired of these "cold calls" and be treated rudely as I don't want to talk to them. If i hang up, I get a call back saying I was rude,? Last caller told me if I didn't want to talk to them, then I shouldn't answer my own phone that I pay for! Last number 310 499 2031.
- Caller: Clearview Beverly Hills
- shelloBlasted with 3 calls at once. CID was VoIP number and next 2 were Beverly Hills. Not sure if they locked by Nomo but will report anyway.

- angryGrammaThese "Beverly Hills" calls are all phonys. Just changing the last four digits and using VOIP sneaky tech. Wish I had a button on my phone to zap em at the other end of the line for these calls. Sign.

Only today did the call activate my voicemail: about 5 seconds of silence and then a live female voice with lots of boiler room noise in the background. She spoke my first name in a questioning tone and then hung up after a short time. I have a nonpublished number.
