An automated message named Scott called our office number and said "it looks like you have $6000.00 in credit card debt.... press 1 to discuss."

i bet you just have to give them your identity stats and anything else he needs to put you in debt further.

Automated message - said I had $6000 in credit card debt...etc. Keep asking to be taken off the list but no luck.

Same as all the others...a recorded message claiming I owe $6000 in debt. When I pressed 1, I was asked if I wanted to reduce my debt. I said I wanted my name removed from their list as I don't owe any such credit card debt. They hung up on me.  When I dialed the number, it connected but with no sound as if on hold. Gave up waiting after 3 minutes.

this company hung up on me 10 times (I know persistant) I would like to know what can be done to these companies who blantly can get away with this kind of herassment.  the company name was INTERCON CORP.  they call my house about 35 tiimes a week sometimes 15 times in one day.

stop these idiots and make them behave because they are paranoid & keep calling me every day. if i had the opportunity i would beat the s**t out of them:(

I was told that I had $6000 in credit card debt (not true) and did I want to speak to a representative about reducing my debt. I asked to have my phone number removed from their list and to not call this business again. I was hung up on 7 times.

I received call from automated voice. Same as the others. When you try to call 1-310-599-5774 you get the classic "number not in service" which simply means they have the number 310-599-5774 forwarded to a "non-working" phone number so when you call them you hear "we're sorry but.." One responder in this blog said the caller id is "Intercon Corp" but have you ever tried to search the Secretary of State website using this corporate name? You get many similiar Intercon companies many of which have been suspended, disolved etc. I'm lucky in that it's just a fax line for me. they get to listen to my fax go beeeeeep.&**&&

I get a call from them everyday...we just got this number and we have been getting telemarketing calls but this is rediculous!!  I pressed 1 and there was laughing at the other end, then when I called the number back 2x they hung up on me!

I get a message from that company talking about credit card debt.

My wife, just minutes ago, got a call from them claiming that we had $6,000 of credit-card debt, which we don't (who is stupid enough to?).

For everyone's information, according to one public-record source, that number is registered with an "Intercon Corp", in "Compton, CA" (ZIP code, "90221-2140").  The line is registered as "SHARED BETWEEN STANDARD TELEPHONE LINE AND PAGING".

From another public-record source, that number is registered with "DIGITCOM SERVICES, INC.", in the Pacific time zone.

One record from a telephone company also shows it registered to "DIGITCOM SERVICES, INC.", with a city code of "CMTN" (which I assume is the phone company's abbreviation for "Compton"), and with a state code of "CA".

According the California Secretary of State's business database, there was a "DIGITCOM SERVICES, INC." filed with the state, on 1995/07/18 (July 18th, 1995), having that phone number.  The filing number is "01923292".  It's name was changed, on 1999/02/23, to "DSI TECHNOLOGY, INC." and then again, on 2000/06/08, to "WILDGATE WIRELESS, INC."

I'm writing this for my dad,,he recieved this call as well,,saying he had 6,000 dollars in debt..He gets so many telemarketing calls each day it is UNREAL..I hope something can be done very soon !!

I GOT A CALL TODAY FROM THIS NUMBER. I CALLED BACK AND ASKED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE CALLING LIST, A GIRL SAID OK AND HUNG UP. I THEN RELIZED MY NUMBER WAS BOCKED AND SHE NEVER ASKED FOR MY NUMBER TO TAKE OFF THE LIST. I CALLED BACK SOMEONE ANSWERED AND JUST SAT THERE, THEN AFTER ALEAST 30 SECONDS A GIRL SAYS DO YOU  HAVE 10,000 DEBT, I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A MANGER SEVERAL TIME SHE HUNG UPON ME. I WAS SO f$%^ MAD, I CALLED BACK ASKED FOR HER MANAGER SHE SAID THEY WERE BUSY, SHE THEN REPEATLY ASKED IF I HAD DEBT. I SAID I WANT TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER NOW!!!!!!!!!! I WAS PUT ON HOLD THEN SOMEONE COMES TO THE LINE SAYS HELLO AND HANGS UP. I CALLED BACK SEVERAL TIME AND SOMEONE ANSWERS BUT JUST SIT THERE THEN THE LINE GOES BUSY. I DONT GET IT.. MAYBE THEY STEAL IDENTIY ONCE PEOPLE GIVE THERE DEBT INFO OR THE GET MONEY FROM PEOPLE CALLING THAT NUMBER BACK????????? ITS NOT RIGHT

ok..after reading this ..i called and asked for a manager and they hangup on me!WHen i try back calling they say the # is not in service.

Caller says I'mm $6,000.00 in debt. I tried to call back several times, but they hang up on me. With this many conplaints, there's got to be a way to get rid of these calls. I wish I knew it.

I got a call from these people yesterday, July 21, 2008.  My experience was similar to all those listed above.  I filed a complaint on-line with the FCC.  I found out through research that pre-recorded messages are illegal, even if you receive one and you are not on the do not call list, if you are on the list, that makes it even worse.  Go to the FCC's website, www.fcc.gov.  On the left hand side, you will see different sections, go to the one named Consumer Center.  Click on Filing Complaints and then go from there.  You will see a "telemarketing, prerecorded messages" box you can select.  Once you have entered information about the call, they will give you a comfirmation number so you can check back on the status of your complaint.  Maybe if enough people do this, the FCC will investigate this company and put a stop to this.
