This person texted me saying "Get your $1,000 Walmart Gift Card, Right now, Enter Code: "FREE" at http://www.walmart.com.wmgc.biz/ to receive your $1,000 Gift Card today! Supplies Limited!" this is the second number who is texting me with a Walmart gift card! It's really irritating >.<

Been getting weird calls with some strange recording in a foreign language. Do not pick up. The call came in at 3:30 AM!

He just threatened me with legal action...

Got a text saying "Apple is looking for iPhone 5 testers! First 1000 users that go to http://celltestandkeep.com and enter code 7923 will get to test & keep a new iPhone 5."

I went to the site on my computer and entered the code and the next page said, "Oops! Google Chrome could not find click.productgiftrewards.com"

What's up with that???

Got the same message.  It's obviously some sort of [***] scam.

My boyfriend's 11-year-old son got this text. So I checked it out - half knowing it would be a scam - and when I went to the website I forgot the code so I entered what I thought it was. Turns out it was a different code than the 7923 code that he was given in the text, and it continued on to ask me for my name, address, CELL PHONE NUMBER, and (optionally) my home number. Of course, I didn't fill out the form. I did however read the small print underneath that basically says you have to take tons of surveys and complete "2 silver, 2 gold and 2 platinum" offers ("some which 'MAY' require a purchase") in order to "qualify". HAHA. TOTAL scam. What I'm wondering is, isn't it illegal to send scams via text to cell phones?? And what about the other kids out there who don't tell their parents and actually enter all of their information? Is this some kind of phishing scam or identity theft scam?? I think whoever is responsible for these needs to be found and held accountable.
