"SD&A teleservice" was on caller id. Telemarketers?

Received this too from callerID. We did not pick up. Yet our number (408) is on do-not-call list

Got the same call yesterday...didn't pick up...no message given.  Here's the info from there webpage

unknown number, no other information.  I do not answer these calls.

Just got my first call here in Napa (707) did not pick-up.

Call came in this morning 5/14/08- 6:54AM !!. Did not pick-up, no message from them. My phone is unlisted, am on do not call list as well , all to no avail. This # is now on the "Blocked list"

I'm pretty sure it's from an election contribution campaign.  I donated money to my favorite Presidential candidate and a few weeks later I got a phone call from "unknown".  I answered and it was the campaign wanting more money.  I told them to call back Friday.  They did.  I didn't answer because I was busy.  Then, about two hours later, I got a phone call from 310-693-2908 and didn't answer.  The same thing happened the day after.  So its nothing nefarious, they're just trying to raise more campaign funds.

These people are crazy.  They keep calling and calling.  I told them many times to take my name off their but I still receive the same annoying phone call.  The person by the name of Rose keeps calling.  She called me at least 2 times regarding the Hilary for President website.  I told her no already.

Received a call from this number. I did not pick up because I did not recognize the number. In the past fund raisers for the Los Angeles Natural History Museum have used a similar number to call requesting donations.

Called while I was on other line so I didn't pick up.  No message left.

If you want to stop getting calls from SD&A:
1) Pick up the phone and chat with the caller.
2) Find out what company SD&A are working with (Carnegie Hall, NY Ballet Company, etc.)
3) Call that business and yell at the manager of the non-profit organization(not SD&A); the main company will pass on the message that you are not to be ever called again, and you are put into a separate 'Do not call [forever]' list.

As a former employee, I found it to be infuriating that we could not leave messages to let people know why we called and very rude to hang up after 3 rings. I quit SD&A and now work for the actual non-profit trying to get rid of them.

You all we right to be cautious, but you will continue to get calls for years without taking action.  Non-profits are exempt from the National Do Not Call List.

Caller ID is SD&A Teleservice - not answered, but according to other comments it is a fund-raising organization for non-profits. Called twice at 5:00pm.

SD&A TELESERVICE called me about 5:00PM on 7th January, 2009. Caller ID= 310-693-2915. I am on federal and state Donotcall list. I didn't explicitly authorize any 3rd party for telemarketing company to call me. So if they continue to call me, I am going to launch a massive cycle of campaign against them and drag them to courts.

Since this supports non-profit, Federal DO NOT CALL registry rules don't apply, but most non-profits recognize it's not wize to annoy donors, and do maintain "Do Not Call"lists.

Got a call today from SD&A Teleservices.  (310) 693-2915.  They did not leave a message. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST..but I still get unwanted solicitations.  This area code is coming from Los Angeles, CA

It is illegal to leave an unsolicited message, it is considered harassment.

Instead of blindly shouting that you on the do-not-call list, why not take a minute to understand what that means.
SD&A represents nonprofits, they are paid very little to raise money for the museums and theaters that you go to. They call directly from numbers that were given to them by the organization. Those organizations have no legal reason to maintain or adhere to a do-no-call list.

If you took a second to answer the phone, and find out why they are calling, you may help keep one of your venues operating, but if you don't like those calls, give the caller a little respect, most of them work for less than minimum wage to help raise money for the struggling arts. They are just doing their job and it's not really hard to say "no, thank you."
You are one of 200 people they will call tonight, being polite could help them immensely. It's hard to go to work every day when that many people are just plain rude.

as for the former employee that posted above, I'm sure that you quit before understanding what the job entails, why you're not allowed to leave messages, and how wholly important it is for companies like SD&A to do what they do.

SD&A is contracted to represent the org. and help them sell a product or raise money, most orgs. do not have the trained staff to accomplish this goal, also many orgs do not have the money to hire 10-15 more full time staff (benefitted and taxed) to do what SDA can do for a fraction of the cost.

I get at least 2 calls a day from this number. They never leave a message. I just know that they called due to my "call waiting" box.
