This appears to be a new number from California.  I have no known friend or relative in Cali and did not answer.  Hopefully CRA has not set up a new California office.  They are insects.

2 Calls today, one in morning & afternoon. Call, leave no message. Never pick up. Likely CRA as keep hassling me for an old debt over 10 years ago.

Called, left no message, definitely debt collector.  Mine was over 10 years ago as well.

They called my work askig for a name I have now had since 1996. I did what they asked and pressed 1 to tell them they are crazy but it just hung up on me. Indeed this is some crazy collection thing. I do not crrently carry any personal debt just married debt so they are a total scam.

want to rephrase that this is a name I have not had since 1996. I have since changed my name twice. So totally bogus for sure.

Call, no message.  Probably an ancient debt (over 10 years) that belongs to the ex if what others have written that this is a collection agency.

These people are calling for somebody else's bill. They call all the time and will not stop.

These scum called me today and woke me up demanding to talk to my ex-husband whom I divorced 8 years ago and moved 3 states away from. When I told them that he lives in IL, they demanded a phone number which, even if I did have, which I didn't, as much as I despise my ex, I would not provide them with. Let them do their own dirty work and find him. I would like to know how they found me, when I moved several years ago, and don't even use the married name. I figure that if they can hunt me down, they can sure as hell hunt him down. They said they would remove my number, and I told them that I was documenting and recording all calls and would report them and sue them for violations of TCPA if the calls continued. We'll see..

They called my cell.  I called back to see "who" was calling.  Machine answered CRA - I hung up naturally; and looked them up on the web - only to find a rap sheet here.  

I was harrassed 3 years ago about a debt that was 10 years old.  At that time, I called the Better Business Bureau.  Found out it was a scam company that they've been investigating.  They are just nobodies that search your info., find an old unpaid debt, claim that they are going to sue you if you don't pay them immediately.  Unfortunately, a lot of people know that they did have an old debt, feel bad about it, and send this fradulate 'debt collector' a lot of money.  Everytime the bureau is close to catching them they disappear; only to reappear somewhere else, scamming someone else.  The Bureau told me never ever pay an old debt to anyone claiming to be a collector.  Most companies write off debts within 5-7 years.  If in doubt, let it be clearified in court before the judge.

This is definately CRA, they finally left me a msg same ole thing as to how inportant it is to call them back,l they cant even pronounce my name correctly

CRA called early this morning.  I ask if they were a debt collector.  They would never answer me.  They kept trying to get me to identify myself.  Then they told me about a Visa debt from 2003, that I know nothing about.  When I refused to put up with their harassment, they said they were going to put in a 1099 tax form to the IRS, saying that I had unearned income that I did not report.  These people are going to far.  Somehow, someway we free people of the USA have to put a stop to this.
If I knew how to start a revolt against them I would.  Actually anyone who is associated with them, should be open game.  I would shoot them with a rubber bullet!!!!!!!!!

they called and somehow traced my moms number so it appeared to be my mother calling me. dont know how they did that but it is illegal. they also maake it to where their number will not show up onn phone bills. interesting.
