CALLED MY BUSINESS LINE 3:21pm MARCH 18, 2011.

A LADY ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE OWNER USING HIS FIRST NAME.  WE HAVE A POLICY WITH TELEMARKETERS - PUT THEM ON HOLD.  I ASKED THE CALLER TO "PLEASE HOLD" AND THE BOSS NEVER ANSWERED.  THIS ONE STAYED ON HOLD FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES - TWO MINUTES THAT THEY COULD NOT CALL ANYONE ELSE!

THIS MUST BE A NEW SPOOFED NUMBER!  I CALLED IT BACK AND TO NO ONE'S ASTONISHMENT, THE NUMBER IS "DISCONNECTED OR NO LONGER IN SERVICE."

A person called asking to speak to someone here asking for their first name only, when we inquired what the last name was he did not know.  Claimed to be from "Merchant Services" would not leave a message or number. Caller ID showed up as:

RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL FROM THESE [***].  NO MESSAGE LEFT.  CALLED THE # BACK - DISCONNECTED.
I HAVE ORDERED A UNIDEN BUSINESS PHONE THAT BLOCKS TELEMARKETERS.
THESE FOLKS WILL BE THE FIRST ON THE BLOCK LIST!
GOODBYE TELEMARKETERS, OUT OF AREA AND PRIVATE CALLERS!

These stupid [***] keep calling and hanging up. called back to find ph# disconnected.

"MERCHANT SERVICES"  THE CALLER GAVE HIS NAME AS BRANDON.
WE RECENTLY GOT A UNIDEN PHONE SYSTEM THAT BLOCKS CALLS.  THIS NUMBER IS NOW BLOCKED.  
I TOLD THE CALLER THAT THEIR NUMBER WAS NOW BLOCKED.

GOT A PHONE CALL TODAY FROM THIS NUMBER. ASKING ME IF I HAD A VISA OR DEBIT CARD FOR MY BUSINESS. I TOLD HIM WRONG NUMBER AND HANG UP...I GOOGLED THE NUMBER AND FOUND THIS SITE

Just got the same call with exactly the same response as the rest of you.  Aside from getting a Uniden phone, what else can we do to block these [***]?

BUNCH OF [***], VERY PUSHY, CLAIM THEY WANT TO HELP YOU GET A BETTER RATE ON YOUR CREDIT CARD PROCESSING BUT WON'T GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR COMPANY. THEY WANT TO COME IN AND LOOK AT YOUR CREDIT CARD PROCESSING STATEMENTS AND "DO A REVIEW" FOR YOU, YEAH RIGHT.

SCAM ARTISTS ALL THE WAY.

NORTH AMERICAN BANCARD is the one you want to google for. The people calling from this number are quite likely reselling this brand. MANY MANY complaints about this business - you should actually google "north american bancard complaints" or "north american bancard scams" - they do a pretty good job of google-bombing the search term of just their name.

Basically it's just VERY AGGRESSIVE direct marketing and then, according to what I read on the web, they RIP YOU OFF royally and steal your money.

TO EVERYONE:
FACT 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work!  Everyone knows this...or should know this!
FACT 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work!  A total waste of time.  Done that.
FACT 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
FACT 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list – you’ll get laughed at!
FACT 5 - no "class action" suits are filed and certainly, not LITIGATED.   Some of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

BUY A CALL BLOCKING PHONE!
Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd. wireless handset.  COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.  
They work beautifully!  These phones also block “PRIVATE”, “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every imaginable call list.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.
NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.  THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!
We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

Same thing, when I called the number back using my Skype number, the number came back as invalid.  The DNC list is another failed government program.

somebody that identified himself as Taylor call my cell, Iwas busy so told him call him back later and hung up, later call the # in my cell memory and is a number that it is not working.

Their call came in on our business line.  As far as I know, business numbers are not covered by the Do Not Call List.  

Spoke to a woman who wanted to sell my business credit card processing services.  I told them that we already had merchant services, and she said "okay, thank you."
