These Asian people continually call me everyday saying they are from a law firm trying to collect a debt. They repeat the same message everytime they call. You can't understand what they are saying. They mentioned that is my attorney or I do not call them back then all they can do is wish me luck. It's funny how these people start calling around holidays. Below is what another individual wrote about these people.

I was called by this number, and told that they were trying to collect on a past due payday loan. they read a so called legal affidavit that stated I was going to be prosecuted for criminal charges because they were a member of the FDIC. I was at work so I got a number to call back. Before calling back I did some research on the company they were supposedly collecting for, they do not prosecute for unpaid debt in the first place according to their website. I entered a email complaint with the company. Now is where it got good. I called the collection agency back when I got home with these questions, and it immediately turned hostile. He said I needed proof to show they could not prosecute, and that he was going to turn me in. I asked for a copy of the legal papers he had read to me in his horrible accent and was called a thief and hung up on. I called right back and got a voice mail. I waited and called again, getting the same person on the phone using a different name. I again told him I was trying to get copies of the legal paperwork, he yelled that I would get it and hung up without even asking for an address. I got a call today from the real payday loan company and was told this is a scam, the FBI is already involved. The people are actually in India (which was obvious from the accents) and not in California. I was told that they scare people into getting their credit card numbers. So please be careful if you get calls from this number and they try to do this to you. I was lucky enough to know that they cannot do what they were saying, nor try to collect debt in this manner. I work at a bank in the Collections department.

Ditto - the last one I got from these guys was from "Hector Boyd" - they're all incahoots with each other, I just had a ton of fun with this "Ricky Shaffer" (or however you'd spell it).  I kept him on the phone for a while, got the phone number but he hung up after I asked for his address because my attorney would be happy to send him some paperwork. (I don't have an attorney) - he asked, "What kind of paperwork?"  I said, "LEGAL paperwork."  He then hung up.
I also kept him on the phone by playing dumb and saying, "hello?  who is this?  who do you want?  hello?"  he even said, "i think you are very dumb girl."
Yepp.... joy.

I just got a call on my work line for the this number 310-818-3961, they asked for m, if I don't know what they are I say that I am not here, "Justine" gave me a number to call back to, when I asked who was calling "Justine" would not give me any information. I have been getting these kind of calls off and on for the last few months, from different phone numbers, but saying the same things, saying that I owe for a payday loan (which I don't by the way) and that they are going to take legal action against me. I have filed a police report and reported to the Fed. Consumer Protection, I also had to change my checking account. Just be for warned if you piss them off they will call you HR person at work and treaten them too. This happen to at my employer, whe I told the guy that I was going to pay for something that I didn't owe, that when I filed the police report. They would call my cell phone too, so I had that number changed.Just be awhere not to fall for their tricks.

I got a message that was left on a third party voicemail and it was from a guy named Eric Smith. He had a very thick accent and said he was calling from a law firm in California and it was important that i called him the min i heard the message as it was an important matter. He also stated i had a court appearance coming up and was being charged with 3 counts of criminal allegations. He always ended the call with Good Luck and God Bless. I work as a debt collector and in my position i cant leave those type of remarks or confidential information with a third party let alone a voicemail that doesnt id myself. I cld the number back that Eric left kept getting vmail, so i waited til the nxt day cld bk and they were able to access all my information by pulling up my phn numbr.. He tld me where i got the loan from, my financial instituion, last 4 of ssn, addr and dob.. I was really apauled he tried to get me to pay a lump sum of money to stop legal actions, i refused tld him to snd me documentation he sd he cldnt, askd for his cntct info so that my attry will be in contact he refused.....THIS IS ALL A BIG SCAM
