this number called me, but i don't pick up unknown calls...they didn't leave a message either. 2mins later i got a call from "unavailable" and i didn't answer and again no message. so later in the evening i called this number back and there was no answer or voice mail.

Just got a call from this number... SUPPOSEDLY Publishers Sweepstakes. They had my address and asked my age and if I was married or single. (I didn't particularly mind answering those questions...) Then they said they wanted to make sure I could handle the gift tax if I won, and asked how much I made a year. I declined to answer that one, and they said Good Luck and hung up.

They called me and they knew my name I hung up and they called again.

yeah they called me also, however when I told them the call was being recorded, and I was on the federal do not call list they hung up and turned the number off.  

I got the same scam as booberry 329.  They asked for my mailing information, said one of my cc companies put me in for a drawing.

They said I had been entered in a drawing for three major prizes.  Asked me to verify my address, I declined.

They called me, about life prize , I did not give them a chance to continue , hang up , scam to me
