This caller has called for a month.  Finally added to blocked numbers.  He will only talk when my wife picks up the phone.  He is rude harassing, and refuses to stop calling even when asked.  

Based on the above message...I venture to say this is a telemarketer for some construction company.  I get umpteen calls from ....CONSTRUCTION/REMODEL companies trying to SCAM work.  Any company that has rude workers, their companies should be STARVED of business.  They called here and kept my machine busy... pretending to call or do their job???  Don't trust this company cause their employees cannot be trusted.

Got a call at 8:43am, didn't answer, they left no message

Caller stayed on call abt 45 seconds but did not answer. I hung up in caller.

Answered this call since it looked local but when I answered they hung up.  I just blocked this number.

Just received a call from "Amy" at the "Home Center" from this #. After asking how I was doing, I hung up and put her and her # on my blocked call list,

Unwanted call keep calling.  I am on the do not call list.

This caller so stupid , call me and hang up.

I have had some "fun" lately with these crooks. I answer and then lay the phone down and they rattle on and on. Soon they realize there is no one listing and I hear a dial tome on my phone.  At least they are not bothering someone else during this few minutes.

9/04 8:55 PDT  Called this AM, and in a moment of insanity, answered, even though normally don't answer calls from unfamiliar numbers with no ID.  Female on other end claims I had spoken to them a while back and told them I might have some work needed on my home.  Told her I didn't need any work and hung up on her.  Will block this number along with the numerous other contractors I have blocked.

I keep getting calls from this # but no one ever answers, very annoying.

I like to have fun with these calls if I can get them to stay on long enough.  I usually ask if they are Gypsies to which they almost always answer "no".  I then tell them it's too bad because we have a policy of only hiring gypsies because we were raised by gypsies.   Usually at this time there is some tap dancing...then they bail out.

Minor fun with these scum...but hey, if you can't take a joke, scre@ ya'.

Gypsies, love it! I'm a retired contractor, I used to be polite to them when they called with offers to "improve" my home. I would tell them I didn't need their services and to not waste their/my time calling me because I can do it myself, or I have my own people for these things. After that approach didn't seem to work, now all I say is "F@#K OFF" I understand they are only trying to eke out a living, but if they haven't figured out yet that it's pointless calling me, too bad. I say nothing more nor do I engage them further, I get fewer calls since I started using this method, the DNC list is useless. Maybe I have a twisted way of looking at things, the way I see it, I pay for my telephone service for MY convenience so when someone calls me on it, what they are essentially doing is rudely barging into my home, uninvited and interrupting me from what I am doing in order to sell me something. All I do now is precisely what anyone else would do if these people did the same thing in person instead of over the phone.

The only thing the information above indicates is that these scammers are spoofing their phone number. As we can also see, they constantly change their business name using the same spoofed number (Presidential Homes, The Home Center, California Home Center). They will use any number that is marked "Available" by carriers that can be easily changed by the scammers who use lines provided by "middleman" companies that also can provide them with the equipment to change caller ID info, along with "war dialing" to immediately saturate selected neighborhoods, age groups, or ethnic groups at the push of a button. I have seen several examples of both my phone and both of my neighbor's phone being called by the same telemarketer at exactly the same time, all ringing at once. If they find you have a blocking device, they can also generate a single ring from multiple spoofed numbers in a sequence to make you think that you are receiving a "legitimate" call. This has happened to me on several occasions lately.

This called calls me at least 3-5 times a day for weeks now. They never leave a message
I was getting other calls from American Builders and after 1.5 years I made an appointment with them last Friday.
I had a micro tape recorders, a camera in my other and a clip board with everything I could find on them.
I was shocked but they didn't show....

Why pay for an unlisted number and be on a do not call list?

As long as people keep answering these fake numbers, the scammers will keep on calling.  If no one ever answered, these parasites would die off from lack of blood to suck.  Do the math.  And stop answering them.  Our best defense against the aggravation is to buy a call blocker.  Life will be good again.
