Lexington, KY I just answered and quickly hung up.  I don't want them to even hear my voice mail message.  Since I now know other people are receiving calls from them, they're blocked.

I just received a call from this number at 7:07 am. He said he was from Microsoft and someone had hacked my computer. He wanted to get into my system in order to fix the problem. I pretty much told him to not happening.

Blocking their call won't help.  They are changing numbers every so often.

Received 8 calls from this "L7 SCVC" Call.  Several have just hung up on me when I answer.  One told me that I was approved by the government for a free cash gift of $9,000 because as a Social Security / Medicare recipient with no criminal history, I qualify for some new grant/stimulus package.  I replied with, "well, since SS & Medicare send everything else in writing, they can send this information and my check, too.  They have my information."  I then, hung up.  Another call was a guy posing as a microsoft tech wanting to "fix" my computer to make it run faster.  I replied to that call with, "well, since I am a Microsoft Certified programmer and technician, I think I can handle it on my own, thanks!"  Again, I hung up.  Another call was to sell me home security and I never said a word to that one.  Now I see how many others are being phone bombed by these people.  DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY!!!

Blocking does help so they can't reuse the same number to call repeatedly.  I block the whole area code though since they repeatedly use the same area codes.

I wonder how much trouble I would get into if I used call forwarding and forward all calls to
    the White House?

Yep!  wanted to install new phone and securiy system.  Sounded like a scam to me.  Gave them no information except what they "read" on me thru the computer.  Kept saying hello and it messed with their computer.

L7-Scvc Call seems to refer to the carrier, not the caller. You see it when you get called by a customer of Layer 7 Hosted VOIP Services (based in San Diego) and they have not bothered to set their own Caller Id information. 86 different pages at 800notes.com refer to them. (VOIP=Voice over Internet Protocol)

They seem to be used by many spammers (or perhaps one robo-dialer with many different spoofed caller-id numbers)

See http://www.l7now.com/hosted-voip.html for details of the carrier. If we all complain to them maybe they will fix their system to make it harder for spammers to spoof caller id number.

    Tired of Spam Calls
Caller ID said "L7 SCVC" - number was 310-870-9254 -- before he began to really start talking, I informed him that this number was on the DO NOT CALL LIST , to remove it , not to call here again, and I hung up!! Didn't even give him a chance to start in with his lies!! :)

I keep a log of times, dates, phone numbers, even my own recordings. After 2 months of documentation of the "chronic," I gave the list to my attorney. We will seek my time, that they have interrupted insistently, aggravated harassment for multiple calls from same number and or company, failure to follow through with, "Do Not Call" registry(which I have THEIR promise to do,) as well as calling before and after hours. This list of company names, phone numbers, etc. will be sent to the State's Attorney General's office, as well. A little patience on my behalf for the last couple of months will prevail, in this case. I implore each person here, to do like wise in your own situations.

I am so tired of getting these calls, and it is impossible to stop them.  Like another mentioned, block them and they just switch numbers.  I have capabilities to block only 60 callers on my Panasonic phone system, but find every few months I have to clear out the whole set and start over.  I would like the capabilities to block 200 callers, and some special sound or means to blow their computer system from my end.

The "Call Type" of "Scam" or "Fraud" isn't in the list for submitting a message.

YES it's a telemarketer replies to Trimline
Nobody named "L7 SCVC CALL" as supposedly in "service call" has any reason to be calling- especially if we have NOTHING that is waiting on any type of a service call.  Don't answer, don't press any numbers or you will affirm you are a "live number" to them.
