This is getting crazy now. This number calls my house about 6 times a day, morning afternoon, and night! I've been able to track it down to some company representing World Com, I believe its a solicitor for Magic Jet phone (or something like that) when I call them back, I get a recording that states my call won't go through because I have an unlisted phone number. I'd call them from my cell to try and get them from stop calling but I'm afraid that they'll then have my cell phone number and start calling it! Again, crazy stuff...I'm caught in a catch 22 here...

Plus I'm getting hang up calls from about 7 different numbers, all with different area codes that are bogus numbers when I call back...one number that calls plays music and then a person with an African accent asks if I want a loan! Insane! These phone calls all started last week and won't stop, and I'm on the Do Not Call List! Any suggestions on what I can do to get these numbers to stop calling me? Thanx

I am too getting this call from Magic Jet not sure why they are calling me I have not interest in this product. I did call the number back and a vioce mail said that the user message box is full. They called me three time according to my phone log.

Does it ever stop?  They just keep calling and not leaving any message.  NOTHING!  I don't ever answer numbers that I don't know and if you can't be bothered to leave a message - why in the blazes would I even try to call you back and use up my minutes on a bogus call.   It just needs to STOP!

I received a call from this number to my Company when I answer the phone with my Business name they hang up on me needless to say I have caller ID so I call them back it goes to their VM and says it is a Magic Jack customer and they are not available leave a message and believe me I DO and NOT a very nice one either!! Hopefully they get the hint and stop calling or I will have to take action!!!

The same thing is happening to me but through my work phone.  Any suggestions on how to stop it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, good news!  I finally got to talk to someone on one of these calls.  He had a heavy foreign accent and I could hardly understand him.  I asked what the company was and he said (had to hear it twice) "Cash Loan Balance".  He wanted to talk to Lawrence.  I said there was no Lawrence and this was a private cell phone.  I asked to be taken off the call list and he said he would.  He was actually quite cordial.  It's been 6 days now and NO MORE CALLS!!!  In fact, I'm not getting calls from any of the other extraneous numbers, either!!!  And the SPAM text messages have stopped too!!!

What I think is happening is this. They probably have a robo dialer. We pick up our end and there is no one on their end to talk to you, so the robo dialer hangs up.  They probably don;t have the thing programmed properly to balance the number of calls it's making with the number of attendants they have standing by.  So lots of disconnects.  They aren't complying with cell phone exchanges nor National Do Not Call.  That could be mis-programming (or complete misunderstanding) of their system.  But at least they seem to care if you don't want to be called.

Keep getting calls from 310-894-9405, Weimin Cai.  I finally answered it.  A heavily accented woman said she was from the  United Consumer Information could I verify my business information.  When I asked her who she was and from where again, she said the Better Business Bureau, can you verify your phone number.  I said well you  just called it, she read it back to me.  Then she asked could I verify my business name.  When I said what do you have, as I am getting really suspicious now, she said I need you to verify your business name.  I again said what do you have and I am not believing you are the Better Business Bureau, she hung up on me.

Have been receiving 1-2 call for last 2 days from Weimin Cai at 301-894-9405.  Today so far it has escalated to 4 calls in the last hour and 43 minutes so far.   It will not go to my voice answering, but keeps ringing from 6 to 11 times.  Never a message.  The number comes up as from Compton, California on the reverse directory lookup, but gives no name.  I am on the telemarketing national no call list - not that anyone seems to care.  All we can do is ignore, ignore, ignore, I guess.

They're scammers calling from overseas, trying to scam you out of your money.  File a complaint with the National Do Not Call list.

Also, it's Magic Jack, not Magic Jet.
