Just called. No sound  on other end.

Called on business line, but did not leave a message when call was not answered

This number called at my office and a man wanted to know if we accepted Master Card or Visa.  He told me he could get me better rates. I just hung up on him.  Do these fools think we were born yesterday???

Our business gets these ALL the time. I ended up here because I search the numbers that come up in the caller ID that clearly aren't local.

This number called and hanged up; I suspect when that happens, it's a pre-spam verification that the number is a live answer. Someone will probably call later and try to pitch us something.

The credit card thing, yeah. Something changed recently, and the CC processing companies are using that as an excuse to call business and try to get them to move their account.

Just got a call from 312-253-7348; caller identified herself as Penny from US Bankcard Services.  I asked her to remove us from their call list but I'm sure we'll hear from them again

Keep getting calls from this number every few days.

CONFIRMED!! This number called yesterday, and it was just a click and buzz and a hang up.

JUST NOW, the number called back, with the long-silent-pause-of-death, before a guy clicked on and asked for the boss, "...or whoever handles your merchant account..."

Sure enough! The call yesterday was to see if our number was valid. SON OF A BISCUIT!!

Caller stated she was with US Bank and wanted to know if my business accepted credit cards. I told her that I wasn't interested and asked to be removed from her list. She snapped back and said that she wasn't selling anything, I repeated that I wasn't interested and sounded quite angry when I refused to listen to her sales pitch.

Every day, man. This number calls our business Every.Damn.Day. I've told them we're not interested. They insist on talking to the owner. He will never EVER take this call. So they will keep calling.

This guy called me twice yesterday, trying to push his credit card rate thing and forced to send a sales representative to my door tomorrow. I told him off.

Called and hung up when the call was not answered by a person.

Yep, just got this call.  Came up on Caller ID as Global Commu.  She asked for my employer, I said he wasn't in and who was calling.  She said "I'll call back later" and wouldn't give her name.

I told her don't bother calling back as I had her number in Caller ID and I was blocking her.  She then hung up.

(312) 253-7348 get calls at my job like 3 times a week... and they don't say anything for about 10 seconds and then it just hangs up... now when I see the number... I don't say anything... I pick up the phone and listen and wait for it to hang up...  I wonder if our IT Guy can block this from coming through our phone lines.  I mean this is harassment! (LOL my Manager said that once - I mean this is harassment)

Tthis number has recently called daily, no message; today I answered, woman said "Hello," I asked "Who is this" and she hung up.

the usual, "private call", pause when you answer, "can I speak with Thomas or the office manager" where Thomas is the first name of the doctor whose office it is.  Come on.....so I said, "no, anything else?" he says "no, have a nice day".  I will, as soon as I can get back to accomplishing something at work instead of answering these stupid calls.

I just got a call from this number saying "Blocked Name". I answered, gave our company name. Long pause, then someone said, "Holy crap" and hung up. Hahaha!

I don't even answer the office phone anymore. I have to Google every single number that calls. Fortunately I have a sales guy that works from home that gets our "real" business calls and inquiries.

These guys call and ask for the owners. They have called a few times

After you answer the call, be ready to say "Hello" 2 or 3 times because they are automated calls waiting to connect you with their scammy sounding weasels.

Me: Hello?......HELLO?....

Them: Yes, is the owner in?

Me: No, the owner doesn't work out of this location.

Them: OK, I'll call back. *click*

Call back for what, weasel? Obviously the qualifications aren't very high for telemarketing weasels.

Their scam?

They want you to switch credit card merchant processing.
Why the owner?
Because only the owner can switch it.

They will promise you the world, but will never deliver.

The only ones worse than these guys are the jerks that pretend that they are google(to google's benefit).

Private call generally means the number is not available.

You mean unknown caller?

some woman said she was going to be in our area tomorrow and wanted to meet so she can lower our credit card processing rate - really?? we don't even accept credit cards!
