Im tyring to sell a car on craigslist and this number texted me, so i tried to call it and then it transferred me to a totally different dumber it went from 312-285-0259 to 641-580-0534 and this guy knew nothing about it and has been getting phone calls every day.

This happened to me as well. However I have reported this number and forwarded all emails to the FBI.

scam these people need taught a lesson in life pretty sad

Craigslist scammer.  Wants you to ship the item and pay via paypal.  He said, "marine engineer working in vessel you will help me ship this goods to my son address ok so let me have your PayPal email address for me to proceed with the payment"

I have my vehicle for sale and I received a text from this number asking if the vehicle was still for sale, whereas I replied yes.  Now I have no idea if this is a person or robot, but I then received a text stating that (am I'm guessing that it's a male) he was interested in the vehicle, said he was buying it for his vacation as he was coming from a rig, claiming that he is a petroleum engineer on a rig offshore, and was able to inspect it due to the nature of his work.  he then stated the he would have called but something with (once again I'm guessing) a satellite signal. He then wanted me to divulge my paypal account info and also full name.  I then texted back stating the for security reasons that I would have to speak with him directly of which I have not received a responce yet but will keep everybody informed.

The jerk is still at it.  Just got the same text.   Come see me you fook.

Same guy attempted to "BUY" my car on craigslist !!!

Wanted my full name and paypal info... and that his AGENT was going to pick the car up for him... so i told him to have the AGENT bring the money in person, since he was coming to me anyways to pick it up.

He states that he couldnt do that since the AGENT was in another location....
I told him to wire the paypal transfer to the AGENT and then he could bring me the cash

Never heard back after i texted back NICE TRY SCAMMER !!!

Definitely had the same man attempting to buy my car. He seemed fine at first until he never responded to my message yesterday and then asked me for my full name and Paypal info. Similar to Craig, I asked for him to wire the funds to his agent, who would then bring me cash at time of pick up. I doubt I will hear from this man again. It is terrible that scum like this ruin things for the rest of us!

I just got the txt as well today same two lines!

Him: PSP-1001/98507 - $95 Still up for sale?====

Me: Yes it is!

Him: Thanks for the text back am ok with your asking price and the condition i will like to ship this item am putting $60 to cover the shipping fees do you accept PayPal if you do get back to me with your PayPal email address account for the payment.


Me: Are you not local?

Him: Yes and am buying it for son so let me have your paypal email address and also your full name for me to transfer the fund asap..

Me: Ok i am at work right now and security does not let us use phones or computers for personal business i will get back to you at 2:30 pm with details!

Him: Okay

What can we do to get him??? Craigslist does not care either!

Still at it, got a text at 3 in the morning with a copy paste from the ad asking if the vehicle was still for sale. Ignored it and haven't had anything further.
