This number has called me several times,  and has left a couple of messages, (it's a recorded computerized message) saying they are with the IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against me,  and i need to call them back immediately.
I spoke with the IRS last year or the year before when I had another scammer calling me (scared crap out of me) and the IRS told me they don't ever call unless you request them to, only after they send you something in the mail

While away with family I received this msg several times telling me I needed to call immediately because the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I called the IRS NO lawsuit and yes it is a scam. People trying to get yout info....  the IRS will notify you by mail and request you to call them. Not them call you. Be aware of this scam...don't give any personal information or even call the number back.

Just got a call from this number with the same computerized message saying that this is the final notice that IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. Scammers. Do NOT give these people your information! Better yet, don't call them back and block their number.

I got a message from this number, computerized of course, saying a lawsuit was being filed against me by the IRS and I needed to call immediately. I returned the call, expecting it to be a scam, because have just gotten my IRS refund 3-4 weeks ago, so I knew nothing was pending against me. After they put me on hold to get my file, the rep, who does not speak English very well, asked if my address was an address from over 10 years ago and when I said No, simply hung up. A second call to the number lent way to a dial tone that said all circuits are busy.  I've blocked the number but advise not to give them a second thought on returning the call. The IRS will always mail you a letter and request you to contact them and only call you upon your request.  Otherwise they do things by mail.

IRS Scam:

The IRS does not need to sue anyone.  They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office.  Several of them.  Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for.  Again delivered by the Post Office.  Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own.  If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge?  They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

Just received call from this number and did not answer it. A message was left with the same IRS scam as described by other posts. This number has been added to my ever lengthening reject number list.

This is bologna!Scammed say they are calling from the IRS.I told them they were full of s***!He told me I was full of s*** lmao Don't fall for it!

Got two calls from 312-340-0862 within minutes apart.  They claim to be the IRS and a lawsuit has been filed against me.  Don't return this call.

This number and other numbers have called me claiming they're the IRS.  This is not cool...the first number that called me I called bac.  Never speaking to a single person.  DO NOT I REPEAT CO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK.
