I believe it's a law firm trying to collect unpaid tolls.  They have several numbers.  I keep adding them to my contacts as "don't answer".  They're trying to track down my daughter who actaully had an Ipass and DID make restitution.

I'm being harrassed by a bogus scam "attorneys" office in Chicago going by Arnold Scott Harris Law Office, though the caller ID comes up Ashland Law Office, at 31-348-1555. I've spoken to them on numerous occasions over their alleged $141 in missed toll offense, that they, of course, "would be glad to take care of for an additional $9 fee", and are threatening me with action. I don't keep records that long, though, if needed, I could very well find the 2007 toll fee I did have to pay, that turned a $1.30 offense into $75.00. Heck if I'm going to play at this bogus, scam game any more. I'd like to know how to handle this one. They refused to give me an address, but said they would send a letter. Once I get the letter I'll contact the BBB and the Attorney General Office of Illinois.

They actually are located in downtown Chicago. Google Arnold Scott Harris Chicago. They collect unpaid parking tickets. They are the ones people go through to be placed on payment plans for their parking tickets. They place/remove boots on people's cars. They are also contracted to collect unpaid tolls. Totally not bogus at all. I know because I currently have a payment plan with them for my parking tickets and have been booted twice. They have employees on site at Dept. of Revenue (where you pay your tickets) also with whom you deal with to make the payment plan, and then they send out the boot guy to remove it and so on.

They keep calling for my Ex-Wife whom I been divorced from since 2006. They more than likely got the number through the internet for which she no longer lives here since 2006. Bogus, perhaps, however, with my ex-wife, its a high probability that she does owes many people as I have received numerous calls from various collections for her.

Got a call and didn't answer. I looked it up as the phone was ringing and found this. Parking tickets and unpaid tolls? I've never got a ticket for parking violation and heck, I've never even driven in a highway to pay tolls.

I doubt they will. That is a Chicago law firm that thinks it is above the law.

Don't waste your time trying to return their calls.  Knowing I am completely debt-free, although they had called me on my land line, I called the long distance number from their message on my cell phone.  I spoke to a Ms. Beals who said they were looking for a gentleman with my last name.  I'm female and explained that I live alone and she said they'd remove my number from their records.  Within minutes, I got a call on my cell, supposedly from a number very similar to mine.
Since it was unfamiliar to me, I sent the call to voicemail but no message was left.  A few minutes later, I called the number from the Caller ID.  A woman answered who said she definitely had NOT called me.  Maybe I'm a nasty, suspicious person, but I think I've given them a whole new way to harass me. :-(

They call on my land line which I never answer. Their message is asking for a female with the same last name but with a first name that does not exist in our family. I am sure that if I answered their call, it would lead to problems for me.

I worked there for years. They are a legit company.

Yeah, I bet you did and thought to stop by to anonymously make a simple "its legit" post that we are all supposed to breath a sigh of relief over, now that you have made it official.

John T. Norten, esq posted on Jan 2012, but you didn't even notice, did you? So, if you were an actual employee, its easy to see why they call the wrong people and don't seem to know what they are doing, phishing online sites for info. Not surprising to see 90+ complaints on BBB.

I didn't get to finish my response. Tell them no one lives there by that name. It they don't stop you can write a cease and desist letter. They have to stop then.

For the past few days I keep getting calls like this, I'm not sure why since I'm half way through high school, I don't own a car yet nor do I go out that much, I don't have a job yet either lmao I'm confused
