I got a call on 3 September 2009 at 7:52PM from my son and daughter in law in Kingman, AZ.  We chatted for quite a while, but when I first asked him, why are you two in Illinois, they said:  We aren't, we are here at home.  Strangest thing I have ever heard of.

I figured out it is people calling from skype off the computer it allways comes up on phone as a 0, or tennesee or ilinois, shows the same number each time

Received a call asking if I was Mr. Scott (using my last name) from 312-348-7005.  When I acknowledged and said yes, they hung up.  When I tried to call back, got a quick busy signal.

I got a call from that number today as well.  They were phishing for debit card information

Received a call from this number today.  They stated that they were from the Wichita Credit Union and my debit card has been deactivated.  They proceeded to try and pfish account information from me.

I was called at 8:23 from this number.  The person said she was my mom and needed help. It sounded like a person having a stroke or a severe handicap.  She asked for me by name and said she was lost. It seemed weird to me but scared me. I tried to get more info on location but didn't get much.  I also told the person to call 911.  There are alot of people with my name in the area so at one point I said my maiden name.  After that the line went dead.  Then the person called back several more times. Some she didn't talk others she asked for help.  The last time I told her she couldn't be my mom because my mom was home.  She said she is my mothers mom.  I told her I would be calling the police.  I did report it to the police and have not gotten more calls yet.  Please advise if there is anything I need to know about this kind of scheme or protecting myself.

Got a call at 1:36 in the morning... did not answer. Is there anywhere we can report this?

Answered MANY calls from them all late at night, after a while I got bored and looked up some nice prank phone call sound boards.  They've been cussed at by Mr Herbert, Fat B@stard, Stiffler, Stewie Griffin and Sol Rosenburg.

Got this call at 5 am, didn't answer. My nephew also got the call but didn't answer.

There's this telemarketer that I've been dodging.  I've got his number memorized, and dodge it every time he calls.  I spoke to him when he first called, told him that I was NOT interested and that if I change my mind, I will contact him.  In his mind, this opened the door for him to repeated call me day after day.  Well, today, he got smart.  He called from a different number!  It was THIS number on this page, 312-348-7005.  His original number is 631-615-2698, a completely different area code.  So I was flabber gasted when I picked up and heard his voice on the other end.  Sneaky little *astard!!  Is this 312 number just a random number that ANYone can use, like telemarketers, pranksters, etc.?  This is sooooo uncool!!!  This is why we pay for caller ID, so that we know when to dodge telemarketers! If they can pick up a random number and throw us off their trail, I would almost consider it stalking, definitely harrassment.  I truly felt violated when I answered and heard his voice, from a number appearing to be from another state.

I got a call from this number... don't know who it is... I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.

I'm on all the do not call lists for federal and state. So they had better stop calling or I'll stick the Attorney General after 'em.

WTF man, i should be able to the number back to make it fair!!!!

Said they were a debt collector but called from a personal private number that showed up as U. S. Cellular. Idiots. We've never had a service from U. S. Cellular so thought it may have been someone I knew as I am in Illinois and thought it was a 314 number as first glance. Anyone who would call from such a number saying they're a debt collector I consider unprofessional/scam/phisher. If its not a business number and they're asking for personal financial information/making claims it's not legit.

This was a call from a FedEx office in Las Vegas.

I got a call this morning from 312-348-7005. After doing a little research, I found this site and another, claiming the # is tied to SEVERAL phishing scams. Bet bet, do not answer. If you're listed with the do not call registry, file a complaint from their website.
