buyer wants to purchase with paypal

No problem. Paypal has a lot of security features in place. Tell them to send you their Paypal address & you'll log on & send them an invoice. When you get paid, go to your account to verify you've been paid. DO NOT trust an email telling you so. Once you pass this information of to your caller I doubt you will hear from them again. The Paypal scam is all over this site. The idea is for you to give them your Paypal address & they send you a fake receipt hoping you'll fall for it.

I have the same problem. I don't trust it because he claims to be out of town and wants to have someone else come pick up products. Once I made it clear that cash was the only option he stopped trying.

Had an item on Craigslist; wants me to send him my PayPal - a common method of thieves - so he can send ME a bill. Not gonna happen. I sent a text back, saying cash only - he won't be bothering me again. Texts always come in middle of the night - I suspect overseas boiler room operations.

Not a buyer. He is a thief and scammer. Do not deal with this person whatsoever!!!!!

This is the third scam message I have received today. It's one of the drawbacks of using Craigslist.

I received several scam messages from posting on craigslist.  This is number two.

It just repeats the ad title and indicates that it wants to pay through paypal and gives some sketchy details about movers and adding the cost of the item to their invoice.

No thank you!

Yes, it happened to me today... I have recently gotten about 4 different people doing the same thing.  Here is another phone number to avoid 5086235705

HA!!!   FREAKIN LOVE THE INTERENET!!!   JUST HAD THIS GUY TRY TO SCAM ME FOR A TABLE AND CHAIRS!
Sent a check from his supposed business.   Equity Ventures LLC  2045 Fanklin St 11th Floor, Denver, CO.
I googled the address, the bank, and then his phone number....  he has a new one now btw (631)964-7377.

It jerks like this that deserve to go to jail for hurting innocent people Financially.   My hope is he gets caught.   Let me tell you if he doesn't my karma is so bad he's gonna wish he did.   Messing with me usually turns out horribly for people.

using Craigslist to scam people.

As seen above. Followed advice to have them send me their PayPal address to forward an invoice. No response. It is a scam.

You may have been exposed to scam # 17, as described here:

Remember to return here, to 800notes.com, after you look at any of the information at that site.

He texted me last night with same scam- wanted to do PayPal and asked me to pay movers.
I texted him back that he should google his phone number and stop scamming people.
Should shut him up.
