intermittent calls from this agency regarding a parking ticket....some of their "agents" require past documentation ....over and aver again.  The paperwork has been brought in originally to the city location (claimed they never rec'd. it.)  The city does not give receipts for paperwork brought in or no acknowledgment of any kind.  I was abruptly told by the clerk in the city office that receipts are issued for payments only.  Sent documentation to city registered mail.  Never heard from city again until the phone number above started calling a few years later saying that they were calling regarding this violation payment.  A Ms. Wonder requested documentation be faxed and I sent it to her.  A few months later a gentleman called from the same office saying they never rec'd any documents and that it would not matter anyway, since our only recourse was to pay.  These calls have been coming randomly now for at least a year.

This phone number is for the law firm of Arnold Scott Harris, some debt collection law firm (think bottom of the barrel work) who was hired by the City of Chicago to collect unpaid parking tickets.  They call me almost every day, even though I have told them repeatedly on the phone, in voicemails, emails, and even a letter that they have the wrong number....I don't have a car, and I have never gotten a parking ticket and the name that they leave on my voicemail is NEVER my name!  They basically call me every time they get someone in their database with the same last name.  When you tell them to remove your name, they say they will but they don't.  I'm pretty sure that they just jot down that your number is a working number.

Anyone who feels wrongly harassed by this loser should give him a call or send him a strongly-worded letter:

Thanks for the tip. Talk about irritating I called him right away and left a stern message asking him to "politely" to take our number off his list. I threatened to get a lawyer of my own. I would defenitely encourage more people to do the same. We'll see if it works. Thanks Again!

Thanks for the contact info!!  I keep getting calls from this agency at work.  The problem is that the person they are calling for hasn't worked here in almost a year!  I tried telling them so several times, but they just KEEP CALLING!!  Isn't there some kind of law against this kind of harassment?!  Thanks again for the contact into.  I am definitely going to use it!

i actually never got a call, i received a letter with an envelope enclosed for payment. the letter stated that i was given a ticket for speeding (15-20) over the limit in Niles in 2002!!! the thing is it was 6 years ago!!! i remember getting pulled over and i ALWAYS pay a ticket as soon as i get it, but i can't remember this time if i paid it or not. what i'm not understanding is why i was JUST NOW notified of this outstanding balance? and its for a goofy amount $128.10. something's fishy here, i just don't know what it is. when i called the guy pulled up my info - WEIRD. is this a ligit company/law firm? should i pay them? do i actually OWE them? anybody?

I have never let a ticket go past its due. Now 5 years later these sisters dig up 2 old tickets that at this point I have no idea.

We have been receiving calls from this firm for years, I am taking over 5 years now, for a person "Daniel Robinson".  Maybe he had our number before but we've owned our phone number for over 10 years now.  I am not sure whether to reply or not to them since like previous posters mentioned they might mark it as a "good number".  I don't know what to do.  We know its not for us they are trying to reach.  VERY annoying!

I keep getting calls with the same message "this is shelia carson...please call me...but they never say a name of who they are looking for, it just goes blank.

I received a call stating to call back S.Carlson. When I call back it stated this is the Law office of Scott Harris.

These people have started calling my Wife's parent's house asking for me.  I do not have any unpaid tickets and I called the number they left only to sit on hold for 45 minutes before giving up and hanging up.

I got a call from these people back in August and they stated the were representing the state of KS and that I owed them Income tax from 2004 along with the lawyer's fees. I have always filed jointly with my spouse and they said that they couldn't talk with my spouse because he wasn't involved with this. Anyway I have received no letters from them only 5 phone calls and the refuse to send me anything only demand payment and threaten to garnish my tax return........sounds really shady to me.

I want to know how it cost for the boot and the ticket i will be there tomarow  wenesday to pay ok.

This machine started calling me about 4 times a week and showing up on caller ID. I advised them they have the wrong number and am getting charged for the calls they are making, to knock it off. On 3 or 4 different occasions I was told they would remove the number stating I would advise the City of Chicago about these repeated calls if they didn't. You try to reason with these morons on the other end of the phone and they are the rudest, uneducated people I have ever had any dealings with. When the calls continued to come in I demanded to speak to a manager. I talked to this guy Rick who assured me he would "listen to the calls and get back with me." This "manager" Rick was a bit condescending but at least appeared to have about a 4th grade education. I never heard back from him and continue to get the calls. You really have to wonder if their clients know how unprofessional and uneducated these idiots are on the phone. Especially when a manager gets involved, doesn't return calls and supposedly keeps these uneducated 2nd graders who sound like their tongue is wrapped with tape when they attempt to talk to you.

I received a notice for garnishment, i paid half of my tickets on 2-14-09 and made arrangements for the balance of 240.oo.  My Check was garnished on 2-27-09 and on 3-11-09.  The garnishment stated that i had until March 5, 2009  to reply.  After making numerous phone calls daily, NO ONE ANSWERS the phones, from 8 to 8 daily.  You are on hold and an answering machine states to leave your name and number and somone will return your call, i have left 25 message and NO returns call.  This is highway robbery, using the law to defraud. I have shared this information with someelse and they stated that this company has went into their checking account without permission after they have kept their payment arrangements.

Yeah i got a letter from these guys today for a suspened license that was in 2004 that i payed off! completly!!!!! these guys are scammers! do not pay at all!!!! has anyone started a case against them or anything?
