Same as the others who posted here.  Call from Chicago, IL on Caller ID and when I answered all that could be heard is that "echo" when the other party disconnects.  Tried to call back and the line was busy.  If this helps anyone, recently an inactive account of mine was compromised (had not done business with the company in 4 years) which led to an email account, tied in with the other, to be compromised as well.  Now I receive random calls throughout the day, spam mail constantly to anything tied to my name, etc...

My recommendation is to do what I am doing.  Change your debit card and c.c. information, switch telephone numbers if you feel it is necessary and make it unlisted.  Change all your passwords to a letter/number combination every 90 days.  Through no direct fault of mine my entire world, accounts, emails, and privacy have been compromised by someone or some people in China (discovered through multiple on-going traces) and however frustrating, the only weapon available is to change all your information and do it on a schedule and trust NO ONE to safeguard your information except YOU.

I am sick and tired of these people calling my cell phone and hanging up.  The number they are calling from is 312-625-5551.  How can I report them and get them to stop calling me?

LOL - TOO funny!  I just got the same message this morning on my answering machine -I don't enter contests and wouldn't for a Lincoln anyway.  I am pretty sure it's from GE Money - they use at least 20 different numbers when they call and hang up.  Guess they figure if they tell me I'm a winner, I'll reply!

Received a message on my phone from Paul from the prize distribution center saying I entered a contest for a 2011 hybrid some time ago and they were looking at my name and to give them a call at 1-866-430-3177 congratulations they look forward to hearing from me soon

I am on the do not call list and I received a call from this number on my cell phone.  No one should have my cell phone number because I don't give it out.  Where is this caller getting my number and why am I getting these calls.

Same as other reports, an offer for alternative prize to not having won a contest.  They asked me to return a call to 866-430-3177.  I will be reporting this to the federal DO NOT CALL website.  It's easy to do.  We should all do it.

From Athens, Alabama:  I was home when I got these calls.  I don't answer numbers that I dont recognize.  If it's important, or a scam as in this case, the person calling will leave a message.

3/28/12  1:22 pm -  "Brad" from some Prize Awards Center called.  Lucky me won 25K AND an SUV. Left a message that sounded pre-recorded and a toll free number of 877-249-6404 for me to call back.  I never did.

4/3/12   10:26 am -  Brad called again.  EXACT message left...word for word.  Definitely recorded.

4/4/12    11:26 - Phone call from Claire.  Caller ID says Jillian Minton 219-940-3759.  I was home and listened to Claire leave me a message saying I entered a sweepstakes up to 18 months ago.  Lucky me AGAIN.  I won a 25K Home Makeover or some crap like that. Left me 877-565-3696 to call back.  Assured me it was not a sales call.  Anyway, when I googled Jillian's name and number, big surprise, it is also a scam.  I already reported that number the same way we are reporting this number.  Keep in mind the time of day the calls are made.  Most people are not home, a message is left, and SOMEONE will no doubt fall for this.

Been getting called several times a day from this number starting at 7:30 am! They just hang up when I pick up. I want to tell them I am not the DO NOT CALL registry but I am unable to b/c they hang up....filed a complaint with DO NOT CALL registry. Just saw on the new recently that the government is going to start aggressivly going after these people so file your compliant if yout registered on the DO NOT CALL list.

Saw the number, didnt answer, got the same message as above. I never enter contests. I was half tempted to call the number they left to figure out the scheme. But I would rather they get no where then be encouraged to keep trying.

Woo-Hoo!  Won 25K!  They are at again folks.  Elliott called me to say congratulations. How thoughtful.  No caller ID.  Left message on my phone. Of course, I am not calling back and the first thing I did was come to 800notes.  Looks like they have been dormant for a while, at least for this number.  In this economy, I am sure a lot of people will jump at this.  Oh..If it were only true.  Sure could use 25K about now.  Whitepages states VOIP call. got a call from 312-625-5551. The caller ID said the name was Steven Clay. The caller left a message that said he was Bill and I had entered a contest awhile back and the winner could not be reached so I was the runner up. Please call him back at an 877 number and he would get my information to send me the prize.

Recieved a call from 312-625-5551 caller ID says Stephen Clay. Recorded message states that they are looking at paperwork from a sweepstakes I supposedly entered sometime in the last 18 month's for 50k and they have good news. Want me to call an 855 number for details and information.  Never entered any contest and the really funny thing is I just had this phone activated last month.

Received 2 calls from this # today. Caller ID said Steven Clay. When I answered, there were 30 seconds of silence and disconnect. Guess I'll have to add this # to my "block call #" at my phone company [AT&T]. They let me do 6 block callers before I have to erase some. I just clear out the list after a few months, since I assume the caller gets discouraged by then.

The caller, (Pierre with the National Notification Department) this morning (10-15-2014) said I had possibly won $50,000 homeowner's cash giveaway which I had entered in the last year to year-and-a-half, and just needed to call 1-855-545-7319 to verify my information.

the caller claimed i won a 2.5 millon  cash prize and that i would need to send 3500 western union to an account .I saw that the phone call can from a jamaican  phone # 1-876-583-8778  and  i told him i dont fall or [***] like this and i never enter any thing to win any money then he got mad and hung up . i got another call a little later from thye same number and this time a girl called and gave me the same speech  then i told her off and she past the phone to the first guy that called and and he asked me what was wrong with me and i told him off and he told me to do something inappropriate and huing up . its people like this that try to scam  you and sometimes get away with it. well not me . these people should be found and put in jail fro a long time .

On Sunday, 12/7/14, on my cell phone (which I never give out except to friends) I received same message as brg -- entry for $50,000 homeowner cash giveaway. Call 1-855-545-7319 to "verify" their information.  No way I will give this scam any info!

Same number, same crap. Don't answer and move on with your day. So much for donotcall.gov. Have submitted complaints numerous times with the gov. to no avail. And by the way, when our supreme leaders shutdown the government last year, the donotcall site was also shutdown, though no humans man it.
