Larry Cipher is at it again. So glad I googled his name. I'm sketchy about craigslist as it is. The number he is using is +1 (312) 701-2208
Said he was out of town but will send movers once he makes the payment. Immediate red flag!! So glad I didn't give any personal info. Be careful people!

I had item on Craigslist.   Got text from this number.  He asked if movers could pick up item upon payment.  I told him cash only and that I am police officer.....never heard from him after that text.  Guess my suspicions were correct.

Thank God you guys posted this. He contacted me through a 408-444-5498 number and said the same exact thing verbatim to me. I was supposed to receive the fake check today!! So glad i googled this!

If only scammers were hunted down instead of wild animals this world would be a better place. Beware, do not accept anything from this number.

Got a text from this number. I sensed this was some kind and googled for it, and sure enough I am not the only one to be receiving this. Beware of scammers.

said the same thing "will have my movers pick it up since i am out of town"

Seemed weird to me so i had to google it and sure enough, i found all these comments - thanks everyone!!

I received that same message about the coffee table and end tables verbatim as well.  I hate to deal with lying people, especially those that just take up my time !  I hope someone gets this "Phillip"..

Holy crap! Just got same identical texts word for word! Thank god I looked up number because it seemed sketchy to me the second he said out of town and movers would come and to send address if really wiling to sell! I blocked the number! Thanks for the warning!

This jerk has replied to several big items I have listed on Craigslist.  Just did it again.

Received call from Phillip McPherson. He said exactly what everyone else is posting. Out of town on training, will send cashier's check right away but it will be in the amount of $2,300 and to take my portion from the money and give rest to movers. I thought this sounded too fishy so googled his phone number and came across this post. Waiting on the cashiers check today to see if one really comes to send to authorities. Glad I have him my work address.

Got the same texts from the same number.  Glad that you all have posted.  I was definitely leary, as there is no one that I know would buy something sight unseen!

Just received exact same text from this guy.  Sounded fishy so I googled the number.  Thanks for posting.  I told him my husband is a police officer and blocked the number.  Glad I did not give any personal info.  Maybe if enough people see these posts, this guy will get caught or shut down!
