posted an item on craigslist and got text from this number .. scamming or fishing I'm sure

I also posted on Craigslist and got texts from 3127158273 to buy the car I am selling. Supposedly they will send a check but will not say who they are, said they sent it and then that they will send it. Very weird. Likely a scam.

Same thing happened to me. They never will answer their phone however.

I too was selling an item on Craigslist and they stated that they would send a check and that as soon as it cleared they would send someone to pick the item up. I Googled searched the phone number and I see all these postings. I knew from the get it was a scam because I sell on Craigslist all the time and I often get these "oh I'm out of the country" or "I'm on a ship" or "I'm out of state." Beware always Google the email address of phone and you will get your answers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
