In reply back to a Craigslist ad, this person is impersonating "Tom Keens" and claims to have an apartment for rent; he in fact doesn't and will just try and fraud you out of a security deposit through money gram, uses the email address <famedxy@yahoo.com> :

hi i was scammed by this person out of 2500 dollars he used a different name email addres but same phone number the ad was identical. i have contacted the nypd about him.

I also sent an email regarding an apartment for rent in craigslist and recieved this email below.  I started searching the deed for the apartment and found that is the owner and spoke with the real owner.

I have call the illinos state police and nassau county police. This guy will be behind bars soon. I got 2seperate emails from 2 diff people diff address with the same number. This guy is stupid if he thinks im falling for his scam.

Yes somebody is in there, but he is going to be moving any moment from now. I and my wife have seriously thought about flying down from Canada to handle the transaction. We concluded that if you are really serious and have the money for the rent as you have mentioned, then for us to confirm that..
