Scammer- indian guy calling about a "loan I was approved for" when i didn't apply for a loan

A man with an accent asks me if I want a loan. I told him no and to please stop calling. He called 5x in one day. I called the number back and said please take me off your call list. He said Linda, I know this is you. I repeated please take me off your call list. He said ok, I love you bye. The calls are extremely weird.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Advance fee loans are illegal period and in some states, so are the payday loans.   Please be aware the scammers may also claim down the road that you have taken a loan and try to extort money from you that way as well!

This number calls me daily. Today an Indian man told me he was Osama bin Laden and asked if I liked Boston.

I am getting calls from this person 5 or more times a day. Each time I ask them to stop calling me and they don't. Even when it's blocked the number will still appear on my phone.

Received 27 calls in three days from these people. I have been approved for a payday loan. I have not applied for a payday loan. Is there any way to stop them from calling?

The person at 312-945-7604, keeps calling about a loan I was approved for. I never applied for a loan and I told the man to stop calling me and he keeps calling or has a woman called

Scam calls. I have stopped answering them and now promptly report the calls to FCC. Today the call came in from Chicago. I really wish these calls would stop. The previous 38 calls were about some payday loan I did not apply for. I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling. Now I just let them know that I will be filing yet another complaint. Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop these calls?

This number has called a few times. Most of the time they hang up after 3 seconds. But the last time they rambled on about a loan. Couldn't understand the guy.

As with the same stories that have been told previously, all in India dialect with broken English. I have sense blocked the #, but they still call & leave a message on my voice mail. Michael Smith is this person's name which I know is false!

this man has called my sister and scammed her out of hundreds of dollars.
She is mentally challenged and on Social Security.  Tells her he loves her and needs money.
First time he called her he said she was approved for $5,000.00 and needed her checking account info to transfer the money.
Called me to get her info as I am her Payee for Social Security
He has threatened me when I wouldn't give him her checking account information.
SCUM BAG!!!!!  **DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY INFORMATION ** !

Can you find a call blocker for your sister's phone and block this number? I know scammers can and do change numbers easily, but at least it will stop calls from this number. There are blocker devices for land lines, also some phone companies provide blocking services.

Cell phones have blocking capabilities, too, so maybe you could check into that if it's a cell phone.
