No message left. Caller "name" is suspect and the number appears to be among a block of several thousand numbers assigned/sold together to the same customer... This is a likely scam.

So this number calls, it says "Sant A" on my caller ID....really?  I'm getting calls from Santa now, yeah, great.  Maybe they think Santa is a common English name?   Hey Sally meet my cousin Santa, hey Johnny meet my dad his name is Santa. Maybe it's Santa as in Saint like in Santa Maria.  My mom is like a saint, no, she's a Santa Mom!  I have no idea and frankly I don't have time to care.  I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message, so it must not be important.  Hey Santa, if it's not important, don't waste my time.  For everyone else, I'm on the do not call list and still get these calls!  I hope this helps someone.  

The caller ID came up as "AFFORDAL SANT".  They left a long pause on my answering machine and then hung up.

Just got a call from this number. The man who spoke to me didn't identify himself or the company, just started by asking if I was the one in charge of the electric bill. Told him to remove my number from his list, hung up, and am adding it to my reject list.

It's the electricity scam idiots on a new number. Simply ignore/block.

They called just now, I let it go to voice mail, background noise sounded like a call center, then the jerkwad hung up. Blocked!

Name-calling does no good for them or yourself.  For some people, a job is a job and if it's calling rude people, so be it.   Either don't answer (if you have caller ID) or let your machine take it if you don't recognize the number.

You're absolutely correct that calling these AH's names does no good, as they are so very stupid that they would not even recognize when they have been insulted!

I guess you're being sarcastic--hard to tell.  My point was that unwanted calls aren't the end of the world---also that the people that make them are doing a job---not a pleasant one---but a job.  Just saying no thanks and hanging up isn't difficult and I'd rather do that than call them names.

'Some' of the callers are doing a job, but most of them are scammers, and violators of the do not call registry. They deserve NO consideration whatsoever!

Ann, It is obvious that you are one of the people making these calls. Please stop calling people. No one wants anything to do with you or any company you are representing. Go and start looking for a job that has nothing to do with your intrusion on their personal paid for services in their homes. You deserve every curse word and all the name calling that you get by your intrusion. You know your making people angry and that is why you have come to this site.
