I just got a call and they left a message.  It is Blue Cross/Shield just touching base to see if you have questions about your policy

This is a call from BCBS calling to re-enroll for 2016 health insurance

BCBS already knows I've renewed... they didn't need to call me to find that out... I have a feeling this is a phishing scam to get peoples' private info... especially since the renewal deadline has already passed. I did a search on the number and none of the results showed Blue Cross Blue Shield - just "hidden".

Got a 30 second message abt renewing w BCBS in december. Continue to get calls w minute long messages and kids giggling & random noise. Blocked.

Someone keeps blowing up my phone none stop who are you

Russel “from BCBS” keeps calling me leaving voicemails. Message says it’s a courtesy call to discuss with me my healthcare which may be changing and determine possible individual plans. My place of business for which I’ve been employed for ten years said our plans aren’t changing - we just renewed five months ago. And if they WERE changing, we would hear from my employer and not blue cross. Likely a scam.

NOT A SCAM. My mother got a call from this number and we were concerned so I called blue cross blue shield from the number on their official website and my local representative was able to confirm that my mom talked to a real agent, so this number was not a scam.
