I answered a call from the same number at 7:50pm and the caller did not respond.

At 2:15 1/24 the caller identified himself at Bob Cherney from the police department. That area code wasn't near us so I called the number back but it was busy.  I thought it was weird that when he asked for my husband, he didn't want to talk to me (the wife).  I called my husband right after I hung up and he said he hasn't made any contact to any police department.  Watch out for this number!

Son answered phone from same number and they asked for me by name (my number is published but in different area code). No message left and when I tried to call I got recording saying that the code or number I was calling was invalid.

I didnt answer this call, they do not leave a message, but when I called the nimber right back it told me that it was a disconnected number and try again. They call several times a week. It shows up on the caller ID as local area call.

I have received three "hang-ups" from this number over the last few days

they called a couple hours ago and I anwsered and they asked for my mom and i told them she wasnt home and i asked who was calling and they just said it was a courtesy call

I looked up this on the reverse phone web site.  It is coming from Downtown Detroit.  It is a building close to Joe Louis Ince Arena.  Could not get an address.

I received a call from this caller on Jan. 26, 2009 @4:16 PM.  He started to identify himself and then hung up.  Odd?  yes, it makes you wonder what he is up to.

Have received several calls from this number and no one ever responds when I answer.

I noticed I had about 5 missed calls form this number in the last few days (I'm hardly home)  They just called and I answered....He asked for me by name....which is weird cuz I THOUGHT my number was unpublished..(got to call my phone compnay tomorrow)

I forgot what he said he name was but he said he was from the police department, said he was in a local non-profit group and asking me to sponser money.  I kept asking him how he got my number, he said because they are in the area..(not a good answer)....He kept askng me for money, I kept asking him how he got my number....then he hunged up.

This call came in at 8:30 pm and said he was from the police department, my dad hung up on him.  The area code is no where close to him.

Received a call- and it did show up as local although area code was Detroit.  A man asked for someone who does not live here.  I told him he had the wrong number and hung up.

I've been getting calls from this number for several days. It shows up as "Local Area Call". since no name is identified, I let the ansewring mach. take it. They never leave a message. It's getting anoying.

I have received 4 calls from this number but I never answer them since I don't recognize the number.

We have received calls from this number 4 times since the 23rd including 1 each the last 3 days in a row.  The first 3 times there was no message left.  Today, about 2 hours ago, they left a message.  I don't know who this is but they crossed a pretty serious line.  Here is the message left, word for word:

"XXXX, I mean, my wife found out and I don't have anywhere to stay XXXX.  I mean, I know we're not too serious...."

This person used my wife's first name twice (where I have inserted XXXX).  Based on the voice, I would assume that it is an African American man.  He hung up right after the word "serious" as if he had been interrupted.  He spoke in a low tone the entire time.

I trust my wife but, even if I didn't, we are together 24 hours a day.  She hasn't even been able to drive for the last couple of weeks due to an injury.  I take her everywhere she goes.

I don't know what this person is up to but it takes a real scumbag to leave a message like that.

I called the number back but the recording says it has been disconnected or is out of service.  Tried information but they couldn't give me any info.
