Claimed to be from DTE Energy Gas and Electric. Probably a scam. I didn't hang around long enough to find out.

Yes it's a scam DTE would already have your account number and the caller ask you for it. THIS IS A SCAM TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY. IT'S A MICHIGAN NUMBER.

Got same call, not exactly a scam as much as it is an gas company trying to get you to switch to their company, making you think their dte so they can get your accounts number and change you without your knowledge,  i told him the facts and he begged me to swich or he would lose his job, i told him where to go without anyway of getting back.

Called my mobile. Nobody there so I hung up.

We'd all be in the soup kitchen if we accepted every dubious offer just to keep illegal cold callers employed.

I've gotten many calls from this number and I've never answered.

Caller claims to be calling from DTE Energy then asks if I am a DTE customer. Must be a scam. I have a signature card on file that I have to sign before I can be switched,

Claimed to be from DTE Gas. When she answers or responds.   I think they would say DTE Energy not DTE Gas.  To offer me a 30% discount on gas. She is very hard to understand. I would think that DTE would hire people the you can understand.  I just hang up.

I have now blocked the call.  With these calls reported why doesn't DTE Energy follow up on them and other companies!!!!!

Just called and looked up the number here before I answered! Sounded like a VERY BUSY call center overseas as I could hear plenty of conversations in background not in English. Told them I already knew it was a BS call - the woman swore, hung up immediately and I blocked any further calls from that number. Thanks for the heads up y'all

I was expecting a call from someone else and I accidentally answered the phone with out looking.
Totally garbled background noise with a man and I could barely understand him but I did hear DTE and I can switch , I said I'm not with DTE and I laughed! He hung up

Called about 15 minutes ago. Caller ID showed "Out of Area." I didn't answer -- they left no message. I blocked the number.

All of DTE's number from HQ in Detroit are 313 235 xxxx This is a scam.

Just got a call from 313-486-9097. Caller claimed to be with DTE Energy and said I had an over-due bill that I had to "pay immediately" over the phone.
I told him I knew he was trying to scam me and that I was going to report him,
He says "don't threaten me".
I say "Go [***] your self".
He says "You need JEZUS in your life"

I told him to f-off, and he was offended.  Said he'd sue me for talking that way. The nerve of these d-bags.

Frequent calls from this number are a real pain.  When I answer there is no one there.

I get calls often from this number. Answered today just to see what they said. After a long silence, the lady replied. She sounded American, but had very poor speech patterns. She said she was calling from '"Conzumers" Energy service department.  I told her I'd never heard of ''Conzumers", and she hung up.

They called a couple times saying they're from DTE  and  my dad asked for a phone number to call them back and they hung up on him. 20 minutes ago a woman with a foreign accent, India I think and tells me we are eligible for a rate reduction. Wanted me to confirm my zip code which she did know. I told her I knew she was not with DTE and she got nasty and said " it's a simple question, is this your zip code". I said I'll just call DTE myself and ask them and I hung up on her. Low life's need to get a real job and quit ripping people off. Luckily they made several arrests recently in the IRS scam.

My call blocker blocked them which means they were using a robodialer to call hundreds of numbers at the same time. Besides, I have
Consumer Power in my area NOT DTE so why would I switch to a SCAM company that does not service my area?

This is Thanksgiving and I just got a call at 11:16 !!!!  I didn't pick up  They hung up, They have called before but again never left a message, I just blocked this number....... It's a scam trying to change you from DTE..... It really ticks me off they can call on a Holiday let alone all year...... Something needs to be done about these....
