This is Charity Clothing.  They call all of the time, I asked if they "gave" the clothing away that was donated or if they sell them in a store...they
sell them.  I told the lady that I only like to donate to a charity that
is going to "donate", not "sell" what I have.  Told her not to call, she still calls every week!

I know what you are talking about. These [***] will not quit calling. They call morning noon and night and even on Saturday mornings when I am sleeping in late. I am searching for who is in charge so I can find their phone number and start calling them at home. I hate these kind of people!!!

This company does alot of help!  People get mad and won't donate because they think that they are profiting from selling all the donations, but really they sell the stuff and give the money to the charities.  The charities already more than likely get lots of clothes and stuff that get donated that they use, but for the Childrens home society, what if the kids dont need clothes, they need medical help, medicine, the charitys do this so they can have money to help kids in other ways too.  And Women's Another Chance, its a scholarship program.  I firmly believe that what this company does is a good thing.  It is def not a scam!

If you want to be removed then tell them, don't just pick up and hang up.  If you tell them to remove you, and you get called back, that person will get in trouble and most likely fired.  But give them a chance, they do good!

Good?  Did someone say they do good?  I think the accurate description would be they aggressively bully people into giving by refusing them peace until they do.  I'm on the Do Not Call list and yet they use that legal protection as a charity to stalk me freely in my own home.  They hound me as well - day, night, weekend, and during hours they are not supposed to call.  I believe they are the same people who have called incessantly for years under "children's home society" using the same tactics.  Ask them to take you off the list?  I've done that...repeatedly over the last few years.  I've told them no, I donate directly to the people who need it.  I've filed a complaint.  Nothing works.  They call...and call....and call.... for days and then are quiet until the next month.  How can they expect anyone to give them anything when all they do is harass you until you are insane?

Need them to stop calling.

The second they determine you are requesting to be taken off of their call list, they rudely hang up.  I have TONS of nice clothing I would like to give away but I refuse to give it to them due to their lack of respect for my requests.  They really have a twisted approach to asking for charity.

Yeah, for any of these type calls, just tell them to hold on a sec and lay the phone down.  A couple of times and you soooooooo off their list!

This is how i deal with them. I to am on the no call list but has you find out this doesnt apply to non- profit organizations.  Well i simply use my caller ID and if it a numbervthat doesnt come up as someone i know, i dont answer it.  If its important then most people leave a message if not there wasting there time calling me!  Ive done this for years and havnt missed one important call. Besides my cell number is the number that i give out for all my personal business.  My home number is basically a secondary number for my friends and family.

Ok, these people have called me for 2 years now. The first time they got me, I agreed to donate clothing. Really nice clothing. I placed it out where they wanted me to and left a sign on it. It sat out front for 3 days. They never showed up and continued to call. I told them on the phone that I left it where they said and seemed surprised that it wasn't picked up. So I said that they should not show up and that I've already donated to a women's shelter. Also, to please take me off their phone list. They've kept calling ever since. Next call, they are going to have to list me as a hostile person. DO NOT CALL!!!!!!!!!

Well, I just called them back after I got one of those calls with no one answering. The person answered and acted surprised. I told them take me off your list. I will only donate to people that I know need it and that are local to me. He said he'll take me off the list. I said if you call back, cause you have been calling at least 3x a day, I will not be as nice. He assured me that he will take me off after we hang up. I will keep ya'll updated if they call back. It will be on!

These people call all the time. Telling them not to call has not worked. I've got their number blocked on my phone now and hopefully they don't have more than one line.

This charity is actually a good one. They have local branches, so whomever is saying that they only donate "local", well you are donating to the local branch. I understand that most of you get annoyed by incesant calling, but what kind of person is really going to COMPLAIN about a charity? Charities like these are the nicest thing that some people have. Shame on those of you who are going to judge the charity!

Some of the people who call are disabled so for pete's sake, give them a break.  One time they didn't pick it up. So what? I donate several times each year and yes it has happened like once or twice over a few years. You sound like someone who needs a vacation or something. Geez!

I have had many calls from them also.  I just checked the charity list with the Missiouri Attorney General's office.  They Charity Clothing is not a registered charity, and is therefor violating the no call list any time they call anyone on it.  It well be a total scam.

File complaints every time they call, they are violating the no call list, they are not a registered charity in Missouri,

I just checked further, it not only is not a charity, it is a chain with at least 6 stores in major cities nationally or outlet type family stores.  There are no charities listed on their corporate website, and they are not a registered charity in Missouri.
