Just got the call from this number about 5 mins ago. They leave a message stating that "The IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. Please call back this number for more info." Bull to the highest degree. I wonder how many people are getting scared into calling back this scam. I take care of an elderly relative and I screen all calls. If I didn't, crap like this would cause a lot of needless worry. Just block the call if you can. It's a scam to scare you into giving up your information by returning the call and confirming that the phishing job worked.

I just received the call as well.  When I searched the line on the internet it's listed as a "scam number"

I received this call more than once and left a message on my machine.

I also received a call from this number with the message that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you.  I immediately thought that it was a scam. The IRS wouldn't leave such a message.  I called the number just to see what they would say but no one answered.  If the person that is trying to scam people would use his brain for good instead of evil, can you imagine how much good he could do in this world?  What a waste!

i received this call a couple times today with a recorded message from the IRS

I just received a call from a this number with a recorded message stating they are with IRS and filing a lawsuit against me also.  The scammers are always out there....BEWARE.

i just received that call 5 minutes ago and the first thing i thought was, what have my husband done now. but when i got online i found all these posts and felt a little better. I dont have to bother my husband at work now.....lol

Caller said they were filing a lawsuit against me.

Received a call from this number did not answer it, they left a message, but part of it was cut off only got the part about file number and call back immediately.  First thing I did was google the number as I daily get 4 or 5 of these calls and also calls from overseas with scams do not answer.

Got the same call twice so far today. Message is mostly cut off. Added this number to my blocked callers list.

Two calls from this number and only once left a message. The IRS would not make a call like this nor would they file a suit until after they had tried to resolve a problem with you. This is a scam of the highest magnitude. Part of the message was missing, but the first word I heard was "services"...probably part of a fake company ID.

I  got the same call today. Also, I recieved one last week. I know that this is a scam. I would like to call them back and give them a few choice words! They deserve them.

2 calls from this number and left 2 messages. I knew it was scam when they said IRS is filing lawsuit.

same as everyone else, left an automated sounding message saying the IRS was filing suit against me and to call this # 314-449-9388.

I found 2 voice mails from the number, please call 314-449-9388 immediately to the department (non was specified).  Check number in this website and found it's fraud.

got a call, it scared me a lot!!

i received three calls from 314-449-9388 today stating they are the irs and filing a law suit against me.  bull  irs would not do it that way
