Just got a call from this number.
Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

I have no idea who this caller is. I called the number back and it said Rosenthal, Morgan and Thomas.

Debt collector in Missouri calling for my deceased mother about student loans that she most likely co-signed.

Jason Cruz keeps calling from this number (314) 590-0880 saying he is with the law firm Rosenthal, Morgan & Thomas, Inc. and that our company has an outstanding alarm bill with their client "My Alarm Center" of past due $1,038.84 but total amount due is $5,886.76.... I asked him to send me a copy of the signed contract knowing full well we already use another company and invoices as i have never received one at all.  All he sent was his "Demand letter for payment due in full by today"......

I don't know this guy and have no alarm system. None of my debts are past due so there is no legal reason for this guy or his company to call me. Have blocked the number and will prosecute if these spams calls continue.

Did they report you to the credit bureau? Did it ever affect your credit score?

U too with monitronics? That company was worthless

Just got a call from this number.  Have only had this phone# for a month and didn't answer.  Never had security alarms,etc.  Looks like I won't be answering this call ever.

Same with this number. I asked what kind of collection agency this is and the lady said she couldn't go into detail but asked for my personal information.

What you should have told them is that you refuse to discuss anything with them until and if they send you the letter required by law, which they must now do since they talked to you.  Failure to get that letter or for them to refuse to send it shows that they are nothing more than common criminals trying to scare you into paying them extortion money.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I to have gotten calls from this number on my prepaid phone.  I have never heard of this guy or have never had alarm services before

A woman called and got scared when I put her on hold. She immediately hung up

This was a "Lawyer" from Rosenthal morgan and thomas. She told me I have a contract within breach and I owe 2500$. She then askedif i was prepared to pay the balance today. Otherwise I was going to pay lawyer fee's court fees and filing fees. But I could settle with making a payment of only half of that.

RMT is a collection agency they work primarily with security systems that have not paid their bills I call them Paid my bill  and settled they were very nice and helpful this 314 number is one their numbers they use to make phone calls!!!

Oh ... you seem to be referring to that Google 2-star rated debt collector in MO.
The one that is not BBB accredited.

Did they follow the legal path as described by BigA in his 12 Oct 2016 post, or are you just a happy camper that wants to make folks feel good about calls from RMT?

Well then it should be no problem for you to give us the legal address of this wonderful company.  It should be right there on whatever paperwork they sent you.  No doubt the sent you a "paid in full" letter.  Or you can ignore the request and then we will all know exactly why you posted what you did.

Called looking for my mother. Reading other comments, probably about Monitronics.  Monitronics preys on the elderly!
