This was AT&T support calling back about a trouble ticket I issued.

What do you want?  You've tried several times to reach me on our cell phone.  The number you are calling from make it appear that you are an AT&T employee.  The only clue is something about a trouble ticket you issued.  Is your call related to our recent installation of DSL capability to our land line?

A young man named Kevin made an apt. For a massage at my Kirkwood home address location.  He did not show.  He stated it was his cell phone.  I called and got a message that the phone number was dissconnected!  Who is this creep?

This is ATT DSL Support line calling about trouble tickets issued to the Tier 2 support people.

Yup. AT&T DSL advanced support. Yesterday 7 pm I called because my DSL was too slow and got this call at 9 am today. Left a clear message on what they would do to fix it.

AT&T DSL. Genuine.

A very rude "sista" called today from that number, ATT installation services, what a [***]!  and this is for new customers wanting to schedule appointments, too bad they lost their newest customer due to that [***]!

We have been receiving phone calls from people who have been called from the numbers: 314-812-0100 and 514-812-1004.  Apparently, someone calls to let the person (and the two people we called today have just moved into their homes) know they are sending someone over to fix their DSL or some other pretext.  When the person tries to call back, they reach us.
We are not associated with these numbers at all. We own an electrical contracting business.  We don't know how they have managed to have the calls forwarded to our number.  We have received about 5 calls per week for several weeks.
What our fear is that these are fraudulent calls made by disreputable people trying to pull scams on unsuspecting people either by extracting financial information from them or trying to find out if they are home or something.  If you receive a phone call from either of these numbers call your local law enforcement agency.

I believe the people behind these phone calls are frauds trying to scam people. Alert your local law enforcement agency.

I just received a call from this number, and the man claimed to be an AT&T technician. He asked me questions about my internet speed and what room my modem was located in, etc. I contacted AT&T and THIS IS A SCAM! They will not contact you if you have not first reported an issue. I feel so stupid for talking to this man and I hope others are warned!!!

Don't beat yourself up.......I did the same thing and also called AT&T.  They told me the same thing.  They said the only thing I can do is put them on call blocker or change my number because they couldn't do anything about this scam.  Well........geez........if they don't know how to stop it with their technology, we shouldn't feel so stupid!

It is AT&T troubleshooters, I have been having nothing but problems with their service and they called me this afternoon to confirm that. So don't worry folks it is AT&T on the job for a change.

Well they lied to you it is AT&T and I was expecting their phone call, they knew exactly what they were talking about, you need to report the person who told you that because they have no idea what they are talking about. This call is from AT&T in Dallas Texas.

This IS AT&T but they will leave you a call back number. I could not call them back at the number that called me.

GUESS WHAT DSL & phone out AGAIN

I too received a call from this guy, claiming he was from ATT. Strange, I had just gotten of the internet tech support at ATT less than an hour before he called. I became suspicious when he could not tell me who he was trying to reach. He was rude, said he didn't know who he was calling because there could be more than one person living in the house, said never mind and hung up. I then called ATT and they could not confirm that the call had come from them. I also called the number back and got a recording from Verizon (my cell carrier) that said number was disconnected,

The caller is AT&T calling about problems I am having.  It is a legitimate call.

I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the #. But it could be ATT. I had no phone or internet for 3 weeks...they just got it repaired yesterday

Not sure who it is, but it's a scam.  The dead giveaways are 1) left no message and 2) if you call the number back from a different phone # than the one they called, you get a message saying the number is disconnected.  Any legit business would leave a message and by law has to have caller ID show a working number.
