Received call from 314-835-6602, no message left.

This is the law offices of Gamache and Myers. They are based out of Saint Louis Missouri and do a lot of collection agency work. If you've been sued or are in repayment to a collection agency, they may be their agent.

They call and all the phone does is click!
I called it back and I didnt get an answer.....
They called again and sent them to voicemail and they didnt leave a message.

The number is Gamache and Meyers based out of St. Louis.  I tried to call them back and their phone system hung up on me.  I actually do have a debt with Ford Motor credit that went to court back in 02/03.  I'm going to assume that they are finally trying to collect on the debt since their name looks familiar.  I remember getting letters from them over a year ago, and I can only assume (again) its for Ford.

This debt has been sold by Ford Motor Credit and bought off by CACV, a junk debt buyer. Gamache and Myers works for them:

Collect America is a huge JDB with many franchisee’s across the country. They have alleged lawyers in these offices. CACV stands for Collect America Collection Vehicle and CACH purchase junk debt for Collect America. Collect America was sold by Scott Lowery in 2005 for $350 million! Even though he sold the company to First Analysis Private Equity Fund IV, he reportedly is still involved in operations through his brother.

This debt collection agency is typical with their tactics. Letters, phone calls and threats to the consumer.

PS--Stay OFF the phone!

I received a phone call on my cell phone & place of employment stating that I owe Ford Motor Credit 17,000 dollars from over 14 years ago.  Law office of Gamage & Myers phone number (314)835-6602 This information is not valid.

No messages left on recording when they call.  And then when you do answer, they hang up on you.

If the debt is from 2003, it is past the statute of time to collect, always dispute every thing they state on the lawsuit, they have to prove all of it, even if you have a judgment against you.  Statute of time is key in your case, because it exceeds 5 years in Missouri, it is uncollectable.

Got a call from this company saying they were collecting for capital one. I chewed that [***] out and in the process informed her sorry ass that you're a fraud. The only business I have with capital one is for my car and credit card and I make my payments monthly and on time.

I do owe a debt but to call and the first thing asked is could you confirm your last four digits of your social security number? I don't think so! I hung up on him his name was Brian

Read Alfalfa's post above.  Cach is a criminal junk debt buyer, who many times does not have the right to collect the debt since they do not have clear title to it.  they will also try to collect on debt that was paid.  Also read this, since they contacted you, they are obligated to do the following:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Debt collectors . I have no outstanding debts and have had no credit cards for over 20 years. They are trying to collect for a business I ever heard of thru a card I never had. Sounds like a scam to me

This collection/law office is a big piece of [***], they harass people until they draw you to court, you can be in any circumstances they do NOT care at all except getting their money back. Be careful they are not good at all, their employers are very careless and no human kind at all.  In general this people should disapear all together...

This is a collction agency says its a lw firm that does collections , also one out of Florida .. so most likely its a fake  law firm and its a collection agency that is out of Florida using robo calls . It called my daughters phne and mine withing a few seconds of each other and let it ring on house phone about 9 times . Funny thing is her home phone is unlisted and in her name and we owe no bills , she doesnt as she is 20 yrs old and in college  and I dont .. so its scam calls . Block them .
