They are scammers..They just called here about an hour ago. The lady told me she  is with the newspaper in TX. How they have this great special for 8 days and so on. I told her we don't read the paper. So she asked why. I told her we just don't have time. Then she started pushing the Sunday paper. I then told her we work weekends too. So then she told me we can get it for coupons. Yea right what ever.. Then I told her I don't use them. She was not too happy and hung up. lol

Any how, if you have call block just block the number. You don't need to have them in the caller ID to block it. If you don't know how to, just call the phone company or go to their site..

You should visit National Do Not Call Registry and register your number. It really works. https://www.donotcall.gov/

This area code is from  314 (MO) Timezone-6 SE Missouri: St Louis city and parts of the metro area only

Mary, Thank you for the information. I have been receiving calls off and on from 314-963-8895 for quite good number of weeks. My girl friend was tired and mad. After trying to research on the web, I called 314-845-2825 and have requested the marketing company to remove from their list which they promised to within 24 hours. Thanks once again for your help.

Thank you so much, Mary!  I called the 314-845-2825 number and a very nice girl answered all my questions and took my cell number off the auto dial.

Also, the reason it only rings once and doesn't leave a message is because a computer is dialing your number and there aren't enough operators for all the numbers.

thank u so much icalled that number u gave and they took me off the list.  my husband was wondering y i was always getting these wierd phone calls but im glad its finally resolved.

I did a lot of work on The Pisa Group. The Pisa Group is a telemarketing company that violates the do-not-call registry. I also called them to have my name removed and like with all other people, they were friendly and gave me the standard answer that my number was provided by my local newspaper in Austin. Well, the Acquisition Sales & Retention Manager from the Austin American Statesman did do a thorough investigation and confirmed this is incorrect. She contacted the Pisa group and found out that this company practices "prefix dialing" and never received my information from the newspaper. Obviously, the Pisa Group is using the good name of a lot of newspapers to cover up their illegal do-not-call practices. I would encourage everybody that has been harassed by the Pisa Group to file an online complaint through the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and also file a complaint with the government.

I also **NOT** be calling that number  to "take my number off the list" because the REASON THEY ARE SO NICE WHEN YOU CALL TO GET IT REMOVED IS BECAUSE THEY ARE LAUGHING AT YOU, WHILE THEY SELL YOUR (NOW VALID) NUMBER TO SOME OTHER FOOL THAT WILL CALL YOU 100 TIMES A DAY!!! JEEZ, WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!
