Yup, I've gotten a call from them several times, claiming they were from "Windows."  I try to keep them on the line as long as I can - this time it was a little over 20 minutes.

The caller said he was Windows and that there was a problem and he would take care of it  (yesterday I downloaded Windows 10) therefore I thought it was a legitimate call.  He took over my computer and that I needed virus protection, but first I would have to send a Western Union money transfer to OM Prakash, India in the amount of $279.  I told him to get off my computer and then he locked me out of the computer and told me that when I sent the money I could have my computer back.  BEWARE.  I unplugged my computer and took it to the Geek Squad as soon as I got off the phone and they fixed it for me.

I got a call from this number today claiming to be from Windows Technical department. He gave me my IP address and said that there are multiple issues with my computer and they will help me fix those, I did not provide him with the access to my computer instead I asked him his name and he his name was Steve Smith. I knew it was a scam call so I asked him the main company number and he provided 410-679-4678. He had Indian Accent and I asked to provide his real name and answer was we only provide sudo names, I told him you can change your name but you cant change your accent can you....and hung upo

Just got a call from 315-407-4060 and he said was calling from the ITT solutions from Windows in Brooklyn, New York. He had an Indian accent and said his name was Peter Johnson. He said my computer was currently being hacked and that he was going to help me to stop it. I didn't believe him at all. I asked him what company he represented and how he would even know how my computer was being currently hacked but he couldn't answer the question. I then said I'd write down the instructions instead of performing them on my computer right away but he said the only way he could give me the instructions is if I concurrently did them while he was on the phone. He then hung up. Total SCAM!! BEWARE!!!!

I just received a call from the number 810 433 2703 and the caller said he was trying to help me with my computer operating windows system.  I was suspicious and asked him what number he was calling from and he gave me this number 315 407 4060.  Whilst on the line I Googled the phone number and this is the website that came up.  He had an Indian accent and told him that I was Googling his number and he hung up on me.

Just got a call very similar to Neils.  Indian accent...said his name was Kevin.  Said my computer was infected, I asked which one?  I have several.  He said the last one I was using on the internet.  I said they were all connected, and since he was able to trace my computer and find a phone number he should easily be able to tell me which computer.  Quiet......then he continued on with his nonsense about having to access my computer.  I jerked this idiot around for 15 minutes until he realized he was wasting his time and hung up.

Same experience as everyone else on here....strong Indian accent, yet her name is "Gwen Stacey." Hmm...interesting.  I feel bad for people that fall for this, but I had fun messing with her for 10 minutes.  Stay away from this scam!

Played along with "Peter".  He wanted me to clear my event log as "proof" that my computer was infected.  Then he wanted me to reboot my PC in safe-network mode and to call him back at 315-407-4060 once the computer had rebooted.  Now that he had given me the number, I was able to Google something to see which scam he was running.

Just got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who said his name was Jim Anderson.  Same BS that all of you have complained about, but one thing was, he knew my husbands name, and our address.  Has anyone else had issues where they knew information about them?

Same.  "Kevin" from Windows (very thick Indian/Pakistani accent) bc my computer is sending error msgs,  Kept him on the line for a bit to get more info, but when I got tired, I told him I don't own a computer.  He said "yeah, so what?"  I said "I know this is a scam, so I'll be contacting the FBI."  Hung up.  CLARIFICATION: call came from "no caller ID," but this is the number he provided for me to "call back."
