Said he was a paralegal working on an affidavit

Dominic Wolfe called a family member of mine who I have not talked to since the 80's! He said he was a paralegal and needed me to call him for an affidavit about a legal case. This number is a bill collector. Dominic Wolfe (most likely not his real name) is not a paralegal, he is a bill collector. I have a connection that works for a real law office and they tell me that these are what they call scavanger debt collectors who buy old debts in bulk for pennies and keep up to 80% of what they collect. They use scare tacts to make you think your in legal trouble so you will respond. Hiding behind the name of a law office to sound more official. A real paralegal would not take an affidavit over the phone or give information about it in a message to some random person. Dont give in to these scavangers they only want your money. Tell them you want debt verification, origional creditor name, loan amount, payment history on the debt, ect. sent to you by email. If you actually do get any proof from them, unlikely, but they will say they sent it; tell them you are going to pay the origional creditor that is your right and dont take no for an answer. Dont let them rip you off.
