Scammer claiming to be IRS agent. Left message that said local sheriff would be arresting me unless I called immediately. Spoke with very heavy accent. Got another call 15 mins later from a different 315 area code number. with similar message.

We just go a message from the same number stating the same thing. The lady was very foreign sounding!  This has been all over the news for a while now.  Dont fall for it!!!

Caller states that they are working for the tax investigation dept of IRS and threatens that the person will be arrested for tax evasion and tax fraud, if they do not return the call within a few hours. Foreign accent.

Caller stated I will be arrested for 5 criminal charges of tax evasion. Stated County sheriff will be out to arrest my forthwith if I don't promptly return call. Very heavy accent. This was the second call. The first call was similar content, but it was prerecorded from same area code. Scam Scam Scam

I saw the call come in but I did not answer because I know the US Government does not call people like me. Also I saw a warning that fraud calls were going from this area code number.  The caller was persistent and called me about 5 or 6 times repeatedly.  I have a call blocker so if he was persistent he could leave a voice message, but he never did so I just made block permanent so his calls will never be answered.

Called me saying I have made a mistake on mine and my husbands taxes. Said they would send me some letters and have the police come get me. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and when asked for a direct number to call him back, he "didn't have one" and got mad. I called the IRS and they said it is a scam and the REAL IRS never calls. They notify people via mail.

Received a call from this phone number claiming that I owe some sort of taxes. If I don't call back, I will be arrested by Sheriff. I agreed with everyone's comments that IRS would never communicate in this fashion. They are making IRS look bad. Some agency should really step up to get these scammer agents arrested. All of them have heavy accents and the caller ID indicated as "US Govt".  If you have older folks, please remind them not to pick up those phone calls. When is this gonna ever end!

Received 3 today, didn't answer any. Also got a voice mail. Same message,... someone was going to arrest me. Total scam. I've now blocked the call.

These dorks from Mubai kept calling us all day today. What losers. Guess they don't have anything better to do. Guess I'm going to Jail. Maybe he'll call me in jail. I hope so.

Same scenario as above.  I "identify" myself as Deputy District Attorney ....... and they usually hang up right away, after calling me some name.   After spending 20-30 minutes of getting different IRS Agent Marx on the line, only to have them hang up, I got a guy to "bite"... he actually called me back from a different (315) number, and spent about 10 minutes of listening to him tell me about penalties, back taxes, sheriff coming this week if I don't send money... also a heavy accent ... and gave me his Federal Badge ID as 100381.   When after more than 9 minutes of keeping him on the phone, he asked if I had any questions.... I hemmed and hawed to see IF I could get him to stay on past the 10 minute mark... finally, I said that I was just having fun wasting his time (TIME is MONEY to these jerks), as much as he has wasted mine.  He said, "Oh, you are gonna pay for this" and then he hung up.     Felt rather fun and proud of myself.  Got to set a new goal of 11 minutes the next time.....

Same thing as above .how dare they pull this . so old people would have a heart attack hearing this.

I got two 315 numbers.. In 30 minutes..
1 was a recording saying to call some number that they were the IRS..Not the case scammers..
1 was a girl with a strong accent asking for my mother saying she was an IRS agent .. ya right!!

Got msg from someone posing as IRS agent.Got taken my bad

Same as others....just another phony IRS 'we're gonna arrest you' scam.

Apparently scam for IRS threats

Just got one of these calls and have to say I was pretty fooled. Anxiety through the roof !!!!!!  Saying I had 5 charges agaunst me for willful misrepresentation etc..I told them I was going to call my accountant and they said had nothing to do with them...If I hadn't been so scared my head would have been more clear!.  Luckily a couple of my cop friends called me back while I was still on the line with this guy and told me to just hang up and file a report.  Not that it will do much but atleast its on file.

Called me 10 times in a 5 minute period.  VERY heavy Indian accent, so not sure what he was even saying.  Claimed to be from IRS and said they have been investigating me since 2007.

Picked up call after noting spoofed 315 area code and heard accented male caller, who answered "YES'" when I said "Let me guess, you are calling from the IRS." I then said, "You are a effing thief and go eff yourself." I terminated call and blocked number. Reporting call to IRS SCAM COMPLAINT site for 20th time in last 4 weeks.

Received a call from this number...  caller stated he was from the IRS... he then changed the tone of his voice suggesting sexual favors...  I asked if he would like to speak with my husband...  he continued... I told him I was reporting the number..   SICKO SCAM!
