This is an IRS SCAM run out of India or Pakistan. DO NOT ENTERTAIN. Infact, feel free to abuse them  :-)

When I called them back and started to ask them questions about proving who they were, they hung up on me. The first (THREATENING) recorded call said to call back Officer Jason Miller. When I called back, a lady named Terry from the IRS Criminal Investigation Unit answered and she is the one who hung up on me when I asked some questions. I'm sure that this is a SCAM!

felt it was a scam by the way the message was so threatening.  it worries me that others might feel intimidated and call back-- do they make money on these calls?

Got this call today on my voice mail. Same exact IRS call as the others here got. Officer Jason Miller. I called my CPA right away and she confirmed that IRS would never ever call directly without any case reference etc. and would not leave a message like that. I myself being an Indian I could make out that the accent was really a fake one like someone was trying to sound American desperately. Right after talking to my CPA I Googled the number and found this website. I called the number right away and there you go! It was picked up by a Indian guy. Even before he could say anything, I gave him a volley of my own threatening in Hindi (Indian national language) that they have been reported to FBI and the whole bunch would be put in jail and rot there for their life.

Yup!  this is another one of those scam calls from "officer Jason Miller" pretending to be IRS. Somebody should figure out to scare the [***] out of these people.....

The best thing to do is to keep them on the line without interacting to them.  They are paid for the amount of time spent CONVINCING people that they are a legit operation.  Today they called me 5 times, I took the calls without saying anything at all.  They wasted 16 minutes or so of their time (and in honesty, mine).  I don't think they'll call back because I give them no response at all.

Got this call today on my voice mail from officer Jason Miller, and decided to Google the number 315-517-3074, I cannot believe these people are not caught as yet. This guy sound Australian. Another similar call came in from an heavy accented lady name Rosemary on phone number 202-506-9112 from the IRS as well threatening dire consequences for not returning the call. I will report these call to the IRS and FBI and see what happens.
