A new scam. Caller with a thick middle eastern accent said he was calling from Windows and they had been "tracking my computer for the last couple of days." Said I have a "serious virus infestation." The virus name is "trojan." And I need to do what they say to get rid of the viruses. Scary thing is, they knew my city and street number. Still think this was a scam. Why would Windows call about it, especially from NY? If Windows callled everyone that had a virus, they would stay busy 24/7 just making calls. As long as they get their money from OS sales, they don't care about what happens to people's comps, right.

I got this same call today from this number claiming to be Microsoft. They got remote access to my computer, showed me all these fake viruses and wanted me to pay $1000 for lifetime protection.
