this is a scam! I received a call from this number and they stated they were with the U S Treasury Department and that I qualify for a grant. When they asked me for money, I asked them to speek to someone who spoke clear English they called me a racist and part of the KKK and a stupid white woman.

I got the same call but this # was given to get the money. They wanted me to money gram the money since I'm not in the state of new york. I told them that I can send a wire from my bank directly to the federal reserves. I wanted my money to be safe.

I had a voicemail from them with no corresponding call to my iPhone.  Never saw this before.  Either way, they said there was some suspicious activity on a card associated with my Amazon account.  I'm sure it's a scam.  Don't call the number.

They called and an automated voice recording stated that i made an Amazon transaction for over $500.00 with my card on file. they stated that the purchase seemed suspicious and they placed it on hold till I spoke to their representatives by pressing "1". I waited to hear from them and when I asked them for details (as I knew this was potentially a scam) they asked me to confirm my card information so that they could cancel the transition to my card immediately. I asked them to remove me from their call list and the guy just hung up on me.

SPAM call from SPOOF number.  Automated female voice "...19224 an iPhone xs max 64gb on your account, which is billed on your card attached to your amazon account.  The amount charged is $349.99 dollar.  We noticed some suspicious activities in your account, so we put a hold to your transaction.  Please call us at 315-636-4394, or press 1 now to report this transaction, or press 2 to authorize this order.  Thank you."

Called the 315-636-4394 number and was answered by a male with Indian accent.  He told me my Amazon account had been hacked by a "Richard Wagner" from San Jose, CA and directed me to a website "www.amztracking1.weebly.com and gave me a bogus "tracking number" (amz319244) for the transaction.  He then wanted me to download a "support connection" file so that he could "help me" to cancel the transaction and "reset" my Amazon account.  He became very angry when I told him I would not download the file and told him he is a thief and he hung up.

Female voice left a message on my home phone informing me my Amazon attached credit card  account was hacked and there is a pending charge of $349.9 that they have placed hold on the credit card account.
also left a phone # to call to authorize or stop the transaction. When I called this #, a man answered the phone gargled the introduction stating my account was hacked that a person in San Jose purchased a phone charging it to my credit card. in order to remove this transaction a I was instructed to open internet browser on my laptop and start  typing an address,,,,,,, here I said I have to verify you are a legitimate bank representative. this is where he got angry and threatened to let the charge stand and I'm to pay for it. Here I said - Now I know you are not legit.

Received an automated voice message that claimed to be from Amazon saying that suspicious activity had been detected on my account. The message stated that a hold had been placed on a charge of $349.99 because of this and asked me to call this number back to resolve the matter. I contacted Amazon Customer Support instead. They didn't confirm or deny the suspicious activity but advised me to changed my account password immediately, so I'm pretty sure the phone call was a scam.

I just read through some of the other recent reports. I got the same message as everyone else. No question it's a scam. Pretty funny that the purported fraudulent charge was from the composer Richard Wagner. I didn't realize he is still alive and living in San Jose.

I received an automated message requesting to call this #315-636-4394. They claimed they were from Amazon and there was suspicious activity on my acct so they froze it. A charge of 349.99 had been made and requested I contact them to resolve this issue. I Googled the number and saw these comments. Thank you everyone for posting your experiences. They are helpful.  I thought it was scam and didn't call back.

Got a call from 602-785-2694 "Cell Phone AZ".  Didn't answer.  There was a partial robo message (started playing over my vmail greeting), female ropbotic voice:
"…Amazon account.  The amount charged is $349.99 ["three hundred forty-nine point nine nine dollars"].  We noticed SOME suspicious activity on your account so we put a hold to your transactions.  Please call us at 315-636-4394 or press 1 now to report this transaction.  Or press 2 to authorize this order.  Thank you."

Needless to say, it's bogus.  The number's spoofed.  Amazon doesn't have any phone numbers like that & doesn't do robo calls (their robo menu is a male voice).  I don't have a credit card on an Amazon account.  I don't have an Amazon account with this phone number associated with it.
