- Seattle WA| 7 repliesCalled my land line. Don't know anyone in Lyons NY so didn't pick up. When my answering machine took over, I heard the typical "telemarketing background noise" on the line, but they didn't leave a message (so why listen through the answering machine speech to get to the point where you can leave a message? Idiots.)
- Caller: Lyons NY
- Call type: Telemarketer
- FrankReceived 3 calls on my cell phone today. Of course I didnt pick up. No message was left
- Christine| 1 replySo tired of these types of calls...DONT PICK UP
- Em replies to Seattle WA| 6 repliesThey keep calling me too. It has been this way for the past month. Keeps trying to say they are a Windows technician. Then today he said he wanted to have sex with me.
- SueThanks for the info. Working from home today, and my work number is forwarded. Glad I didn't pick up!
- AnnieI have received two phone calls from this number in the past week. There has been no message left either time.
- Allycalled me three times today. First time he said he was a windows technician, second time he changed his name and he asked me if I was free on Saturday, third time I did not pick up, obviously.
- AnnWe don't own any window products. Most likely a scam more than telemarketer.
- Caller: Window computer inquiry
- Call type: Telemarketer
- RayThese guys are scammers for sure. I wouldn't give them any info. They said that someone reported my computer as downloading illegal information... really?
- Steve| 1 replyAnother call and no vm, god this gets old...
- jennCalls daily. Never leaves a message
- ClarkeGot a call yesterday. Lady said there was something wrong with my computer which I haven't turned on for nearly a month. I have learned that these types of callers want remote access to your computer to fix an imaginary problem. Don't do it! Hang up on the jerks.
- beccaAnNoYiNg... Called 5 times today...get an f'n life & a real job..
- Buckeye| 1 replyI have received 2 calls from this number on my cell phone. I thought I blocked the number the first time but forgot to do so and they called 2nd time. A man with a heavy accent said he was with Windows, you could hear noise in the background from other scammers making calls. 1st time he called I told him he was not with Windows and hung up. 2nd time he called about a week later I knew it was the same scammer, he said the reports they received from my computer indicated some files were corrupt and my computer could crash any time. I hung up and blocked the number. Please do not give these criminals any info!
- CalebDo not give any info to these guys
- Milton| 4 repliesEveryone should pick up the call & pretend to do what they ask. Then start singing a random song poorly!
- Jules| 4 repliesThese people have been calling my mom saying they are from Windows and trying to get her to do something on her computer. She's 72 and didn't understand what they were saying, so she gave them my number. I received a call this morning and immediately started asking questions about the company calling and where they received my mother's information initially. The foreign caller had no answers so I told him not to call my mother or me anymore and hung up. He immediately called back and I was quite rude and told him to never call again. After about 30 seconds the phone rang again and I let it go to voice mail. The same foreign-speaking man who called the first two times left a very agressive voice mail message telling me to PICK UP THE PHONE NOW! Creepy.
- Caller: Unknown (said he was a Windows Rep)
- Tamianth replies to Jules| 2 repliesConsider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
This is a scam to gain access to your computer for what ever information they can steal and possibly download virus or keyloggers or maybe even use a computer as a zombie spammer.
The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

https://www.apple.com/legal/more-resources/phishing/ - KayeJust received a call on my cell phone like others have posted. A guy with a very heavy accent did not even say hello. He launched right into the spiel about being a Windows technician, so I immediately hung up and set my phone to reject any other calls.
- DMCThey called four times in the last three days - twice today. I didn't pick up.
