Ongoing calls from "WELCH ALLYN" according to the caller ID. They hang up on the answering machine.
First time from this number. Normally they call from 315-685-4222
If you look up that number people report it as being a "your computer has a virus" type scam.
I dont know if the number is being spoofed to look like this company or what, Google shows it as being a medical service and supplies firm. Tired of all the calls in any case though.

They called and my wife couldn't understand them. So she hung up

Call came in with caller ID only saying "Out of Area". I answered and said hello and it hung up in my ear without anyone talking to me.

Incoming call received from Allen Welsh, number of 315-685-4111 at 8:58 a.m. on Monday, 17 AUG 2015. I did not recognize name nor number. My answering machine states "this is an answering machine with caller ID. We do not answer the phone due to the number of scams and solicitations. Have a nice day." No message is left by caller.

Numerous calls over the past week from this number and other related (315) 685-4XXX numbers stating WELCH ALLYN as the caller information - of course no one says anything on the other end - what is the POINT? Why call me if you have nothing to say - get a life!
If you call the number back - you get a recording from WELCH ALLYN saying that they are aware of the fraudulent calls and the calls aren't coming from them and they have reported the fraudulent activity. SO BIZARRE. Just stop calling, please go away and do something more productive with your life here on earth.

obvious phone scam wanted me to turn on computer. Said my computer was bugged

this just happened to me.  Said computer had a virus its a scam

Scam calls (frequent) saying they are calling "from Microsoft Windows" in an Indian accent to advise of a computer virus. Hung up and blocked further calls. They use several numbers, ending in 4111, 4222, 4500 and probably more. Whatever happened to the "do not call" list?

5 calls stating that he is receiving an error report on my computers asking if I was in front of the computer

Receiving calls as well. It is a spoof. Once you tell them they are "Bogus" they hang up. Ignore these calls.

Caller claimed to be with microsoft and wanted to talk with me about a problem with my computer. I didn't take the bait

Came home from doctor appt. found number on caller I.D. No message left. Figured it was a scum er I mean scam.

I have received 4 calls from Allyn Welch with three different numbers: 315-685-4555, 315-685-4666 and 315-685-4111.
From reading other posts I see many other numbers. It is a scam wanting to "fix my computer"

I have had numerous calls from someone whom I have difficulty understanding telling me he is from Microsoft tech support.  Once, when I recognized the caller and told him (again) that I am on the do not call list and that I'm not interested in Microsoft tech support he said, no, he was from the FBI investigations. Today I told him I was going to report him to the state attorney general and he hung up.

Too bad we can't block the first 6 numbers from a robo call phone system.  Blocking a whole number does nothing because they just change the ending digits.
I have continued to get calls from "Scam Scum" via (315) 685-4111 with various ending last four digits.  Seeing 4111, 4222, 4555, gave me hope they would quit after calling all the repeat equivalents. But then I got one ending in 4500.  I hope we don't have to go through all the way to 4999!  Does anyone know of a device that blocks whole area codes?  We do not know anyone in Washington, D.C., Canada, or this one from upstate New York.  For a while we were getting calls via Jamaica.  Why won't the phone companies help us out here??????  They MUST have enough modern technology to keep these scum from calling.

You may remember seeing the Welch Allyn name in your physician's office.  Look at the thingamajig hanging on the wall.  The doctor looks into your ears with an otoscope.  They also manfacture ophthalmoscopes to look into your eyes and blood pressure devices.  They are a well-respected company and have absolutely nothing to do with these vultures who are trying to convince you to part with your computer information.  Don't you do it.  Of course, if you don't mind playing mind games, try to keep them on the phone as long as you can.  Convince them that you are so stupid that you'll go along with them.  Last time I got this call, Mike, with an obvious Indian accent, told me he wanted to fix my computer - something wrong with the way Windows was running.  I told him my windows were fine and that I had just had triple pane windows installed in my whole house.  Told him they weren't cheap but I knew they'd save me money on my heating bill.  Told him that if he was interested, I'd give his name and number to the salesman who sold me mine and I'd get a rebate if he bought them. lol

Received several calls this morning from this number.
