Keep on getting calls from this # saying they are repair technicians from Microsoft

Continuous calls from a technician from Microsoft, explaining that I have a virus on my computer. However, I have a complete virus and firewall prtection, so something seems fishy....

none stop calls from them. I don't answer but I can see here it isn't worth answering. I've blocked them with my phone but what is annoying is the phone I have will allow one ring then says it is blocked.

My computer pop up with this message 'OX000000CE Driver-Unloaded-Without-Cancelling-Pending-Operations' , Call Microsoft Technical Support 1-844-261-0985 for help............ BSOD: Error 333 Registery Failure of Operating System - Host: Blue Screen Error.....   Then, I look up this number and found many people have received this message on their computer...  About 10 or 20 minutes later, I got a phone call from 1-315-685-4526, claiming they are Microsoft Tech Support wanted to help me with this error and want to access my computer. I told the guy that I am investigating this error message and reported that to Microsoft.

Yes I got this phone call for 2 days. Today they called and she was telling me she was from Microsoft and that I have viruses on my computer and to get my computer and she will fix the problem before it crashes.  I told her that she was fake and that she was just trying to get in my computer.  She kept saying no and finally she hung up.

heavy accent claiming to be from Microsoft definitely a scam.

Have been getting this call all week!  Finally picked it up and heard the line about being from MS and my computer sending them error messages.  When the idiot couldn't tell me what IP address the messages were coming from  he decided to hang up on me.

It's a scam to get control of your computer and steal your credit card info and other info. Just hang up or don't answer at all. Caller  id says WELCH ALLYN  1-315-685-4526

Welch Allyn makes equipment for doctors and hospitals, such as blood pressure measuring devices, etc.  They have nothing to do with computer service.

Caller ID says Welch Allyn which I recognize as a valid company that has nothing to do with Microsoft. Caller identified herself as Nancy, but she was clearly Indian and calling from somewhere other than NY, and when I asked why the caller ID reported call as being from Welch Allyn, she started talking about my computer is at risk. I hung up.  Clearly a scam.

Caller said my computer was sending error messages to Microsoft and, with my permission, he would access my computer and fix the problem.   I told him that it was curious that my MacBook was sending error messages to Microsoft.   He hung up on me.   Five minutes later, another call from the same number.   Different caller, same scam.

This number may be spoofed (?).
The caller ID info and number are for "Welch Allyn" but a websearch shows that to be a medical supplies/services company. So unless one of their employees has gone rogue I guess some scammers are spoofing the number or something?

Microsoft doesn't call anyone. It is a scam. Google Microsoft Calls it will tell you all about these intruders from Calcutta.
