Picked up, no response, showed from Syracuse, NY, Calling back had a message with no identifying company saying "if you'd like us to put you on our do not call list, press 1."

same here pick  no response. came across CID as unknown name.

Same here @ my grandparents' when this # called to him. It said Debt Relief to settle IRS debt. My grandparents never owe anybody anything or have any debts... So far it's debt relief serivce I guess. I don't know if anyone else got something different.

This is two new numbers in as many days, after being harassed by at least five different numbers every day for a month now. Are they just fisching for vulnerable people to victimize?
Time to start calling congress to pass a real law and shut these bottom feeders down.

being on a government do not call list does not seem to be working

I get calls from this number constantly. It rings inasmuch Debt Relief.   I call and request to be put on the do not call list and it never happens.  I block their calls and they still come.  I call and wait for someone to answer but the line just disconnects.  Sounds like someone I would trust in a business situation -right?

This "company" calls 2 or three times a day while I am trying to do business in a large building, so I will run to the phone and no-sound at all. Wasting my time ridiculously. Somebody shut these clowns down!!

I'm from Ontario Canada, getting anoyed at all the IRS debt collection calls I'm getting concidering i don't owe anything in the states and every time I go state side I use cash.

The number shows as Debt Relief & callers name is Sarah. Called multiple times and launches into speil about back taxes.

This # will not stop calling!! It's either George or Sara wanting to talk about my bad tax debt. This is a business. STOP CALLING. I ALWAYS ask to be transferred to the "relief specialist" and request to be removed from the list. It doesn't happen. I have been told numerous times, "we are very sorry about that" "I'm am removing you right now" "It may take up to 72 hours". Get calls 2-3 times per day. Often after pressing 1 to talk to someone it asks me to leave a message. I do not and hang up. If they really want to relieve my bad tax debt you would think they would be there when I WANT to talk to them.

I'm getting the same IRS-relief calls from "Sarah", almost daily, at the small company where I work. What a pain! Since I started documenting these calls to report them, I've notice that they call from a different number every time. So even if I find a way to block one of these numbers, the calls will still come.

Does anybody know the name of the company behind these calls? That way we can nail them.

These creeps seem to be able to change phone numbers at will... like they have bag full of numbers, and if you block one number, they just pull another number out and call again the next day. You CAN sue these people if they call, you ask them not to call again and they call you anyway. The is an attorney in California that specializes in suing these [***]. I read about one guy who makes a living suing telemarketers who call his house. The California attorney is Todd Friedman. Look him up.

It can only work if the "company / slash individual" is a legitimate company which decides to obey the law. I am sure that the FCC will make the list of "do not call" numbers available to any telemarketing company that wishes to obey the law (free for the asking).
