There's a scammer out there who goes by the name of Mike Stone who claims to have my personal information and is threating me and my job, how he got my job number, I don't know.....but. It's some guy claiming to represent the justice department of NY.....he has a accent like he's from India and he's been harassing my place of work stating that my termination papers are going to be written up as well as my family notified of some so called fraudulent activity.....this guy need to be caught and penalized!

This person has been calling my workplace too for an employee.  He told me he was from NYPD and that his name was Raymond Kelly and when I told him he could not speak to the employee he got threatening.  He told me I was going to be in big trouble and that he would be here at my workplace on Monday morning at 11 a.m..  I laughed at him and told him good luck!

I called the Indiana Attorney General's office and they told me to have the employee file a consumer complaint because they could help consumers but not employers.  They did indicate this was a known scammer.

I think I will also call the FCC and file a complaint with them.

I got a call from this number looking for a friend of mine.  He claimed to James White with the NYPD.  I knew it was a collection agency because my friend had told me what was going on.  I'd previously gotten a call from the same guy (I recognized the name he used as well as his thick accent from India) but then he claimed he was working for some security company.  He got really pissed when I confronted him that the number he was calling from wasn't the NYPD and that I believed he was lying and was not with the NYPD.  When I told him I would not be giving him any information or giving my friend his message he threatened me, saying they would open up a criminal matter or me.

That pissed me off so I told him he was breaking the law and demanded to speak to his supervisor.  He hung up on me.  So I called him back (got to love caller ID).  He hung up again and I kept calling back and demanding a supervisor until finally the phone went to another person.  This time it was a woman (with the same thick accent) who also claimed they were with the NYPD.  I laid into her about how if I receive another call from them I would be filing a claim with law enforcement.

I recieved a call from this number on 8/28/12. The caller identified himself as being with the Legal Affadavit Center. He claimed that "A serious legal matter" had been filed against my SSN. I did a reverse number search number and found this to be a cell phone or undisclosed phone number out of Watertown, NY. Since I have found the information listed on this site I intend to file complaints with the FCC and FTC.
