A friend got a call from this number.  When she answered a woman said she was calling from some Breast Cancer place, and asked if she sent a stamped self-addressed envelope, if my friend would send her a donation.  My friend said no, and the woman thanked her before hanging up.  Trying to find out if this is a legit number, or a scam.

Second call from this number.  Identified as Breast Cancer S on caller id.  They asked for my husband, I asked if I could take a message.  The individual VERY rudely said they were only allowed to talk to the person they were calling and said they would call again.  I called the number back, the recording gave information about their services and their donation procedure.  They could only return calls if you left your name, number and the "donation" number.  Then they said it can take up to 10 days for the donation to register.  When I tried to leave a message, the message box was full.

I  just tried a free trace on this number, this was the information given.  Don't feel trusting of a "charity cell phone."

I received a call from this number this afternoon from a female and they asked for my husband (who was unavailable to talk). The female was reluctant to talk with me but I asked what there call was in reference to. The first female identified herself as working for the charity to assist women who have no funds for breast cancer screening. She was soliciting for me to commit to a verbal pledge of $40. I said I would not give that amount but would consider a small donation (I've worked in the corrections field so played along with this conversation). She then said that she was going to transfer me to a different individual to verify my address, ect. The second female asked for my method of payment, specifically for my credit card number, and the amount of my pledge. I told her that I would never give out my credit card over the phone and to send me the information packet. I am confident that my gut sense tells me this is a phone scam. Both women were insistent in asking how soon I would send in cash or a check since I said no to credit cards!

We receive a call daily since mid-March, sometimes more than once a day, from this number.  They have called today again.  The last time I attempted to answer it there was no one on the other end.  We haven't been able to find out why they are calling but it appears from others that is a solicitation of some sort.  Very annoying.  Would like to block this caller!

Answered a call from this outfit last night.  She asked whether if I were sent info about their organization, would I make a donation.  I said, "you can mail me your info, but I can't promise . . ." and right there she interrupted and shouted, "These women are fighting for their LIVES!"  I hung up.  She had no idea what I was going to say next before she rudely interrupted that way.  Even if this is a legitimate agency, I strongly doubt its beneficiaries would approve of their collection methods.

this lady named amanda asked me if i wanted to donate to breast cancer. she wanted me to pay by check or credit card I declined. I said send me a packet. this lady calls every day and when my wife answer the phone she refuses to talk to her. I am on the no call list. thank you

In checking out the Breast Cancer Society, it appears that 85% of the funds raised go to fundraising and only 15% to breast cancer patients.  This is the reverse of what would expect.

I believe that is illegal now so it has to be a scam

This is a scam- i told them i don't give money to strangers i have talked to for 15 seconds - I have alerted the kansas attorney general !

Called me..Phone says only Ks number. Lady says AC Services raising money for breast cancer. I said I'm on disability & have to borrow from my daughter each month to get by.  She kept talking over me saying it's only a little bit of money & could she send me a packet-again I said no-And also my Mom is fighting breast cancer--she broke in again trying to tell me of "these women's" pain each day.  Told her no abt 7 times-she finally thanked me & hung up. I am on the do not call list.

Received a call this morning about 10 am.  I did not pick up, but my caller I.D. gave this number 316-251-9472 and the name Breast Cancer S.  Whoever was on the other end of this phone call should thank their lucky stars that I did not pick up, because they would have received an ear full from me.  I had breast cancer 13 years ago and there is NOTHING some one on the phone can tell me what I don't already know.  If they want to help people with cancer, maybe the phone calls should be to inform people about early detection and survival, not begging people for money.

This caller has called a lot.  Am on DNC list.   Shows a Kansas AC and gives the "appearance" of a charity.  However, based on their previous calls to our previous #, am doubtful it's a legitimate charity since  the ACS does not appear to know who they are.

...I got the call too...I think it is a scam, but not all charity calls are a scam...I think it was automated this time...I don't get totally angry when charities call...they do what they do..maybe some of the money collected is for talking about early detection nowadays...some things do change over time...sorry you are still so angry...

I spoke to the representative of the Breast Cancer Society. I asked the percentage of the donated funds that go to women, research, etc.  She graciously told me that 85% of the proceeds go towards administrative costs and fundraising.  A good fact to know before donating...

On my iPhone this number showed up as a reminder in the reminder app. I know that I did not put this reminder in my phone. So here I am looking at research on where the number is coming from and it leads me to believe that maybe we should do something about this.
